Trying to knock out the euro friendlies and these are my last 3 games: 1. Doesn’t quit after I score first. I win 5-2 but they triple pause at the end 2. Penalty right away, turns off their PS5 before I take the kick 3. Waits til 2-0 to quit EAFC players are the worst.

15 games played — 1 formation, 1 playstyle — every. single. time. I’m not blaming the community for using 4-2-1-3. I get it. If you want to win, you’re basically forced into it. That’s on EA. They’ve created a game where one setup is so far ahead of everything else that trying to play differently feels like a self-imposed challenge. And let’s be clear: it’s not even about formations anymore. The whole system is broken. Speed boosts are out of control. Wingers won’t track back. CDMs are the only ones doing any actual defending. Animations are busted. Defenders freeze. And the responsiveness of the game? It depends entirely on when you log in — some sessions feel great, others feel like your players are stuck in mud. What do I actually want? Responsive gameplay — and a system that rewards football IQ, not just the ability to abuse mechanics. I used a 4-5-1 this WL and got 9 wins — which is around my average. But let’s be honest — if I’d just used 4-2-1-3 like everyone else, I’d probably walk away with 11. That’s how warped this game is. I’m trying to enjoy it. I’m trying to play my way. But when every match is the same formation, same style, same rinse-repeat garbage — what’s left to enjoy? Stop calling it a meta. Just call it what it is: brain-dead football with no reward for thinking. Rant over.

@FUTDeepview @_FCPirate_ I think the problem is that mediocre players can use 4-2-1-3 and abuse bad mechanics to beat good not great players (like me). Particularly when the gameplay is poor. Really really good players can use whatever formation they want and win 90%+ of their games anyway.

I got many rank 1s this year and havent used 4213. I tried it for like 2 games in the beginning, felt like my wingers are totally out of build up, hated it. So imo its possible to play on high level with different formation. 4213 is easy way out, but its also very vanruable in some aspects of the game :)

@_FCPirate_ Since season reset with a lot of people leaving the game, it’s pretty much exclusively rats playing 4-2-1-3, dribbling around with R1 until they find an opening in the box, fire a pinged pass, first touch, low driven shot. Rinse and repeat. I don’t even get how it’s fun for them.

Maybe FC25 is realistic after all

Tips: - Defend with your LCM and RCM as much as possible to help out your CDM - Play quick 1-2s with your CAM/STs and trigger runs for through balls. Long ball+ on your CAM is a must - use LCM and RB to switch play and provide width - passing PS and PS+ are important on everyone

11 win tactics for a good not great EAFC player. - Really fun, can play at any pace. I attack faster/slower based on my opponent. - depth is up to you, I like to press - RS can be advanced forward, but I like poacher - switch RCM to DLP build up if you want to be more defensive

Got my 11th win with this squad despite getting an early bullshit red card with Tah. 4-1-2-1-2 is super fun! I switch to a defensive 4-2-3-1 when leading in the 2nd half and an even more defensive 4-3-3 holding late on. Oh and Kaká is ridiculous.

He’s already unreal as a 94. Easily the best CB in the game. When I get him to 96, I’m gonna play him at CB, CDM, and ST all in the same game.

@card_kt I kind of want to play him all over the place, which has me leaning to quickstep. But yeah if mainly a CB I lean block, if mainly CDM, intercept. He’s actually still be a beast as a striker with quickstep.

@yosoypoy Bro I’ve had to stop playing for the most part. Gameplay has been atrocious since the patch that “improved passing.” Probably 75% of my games, my players can’t move. I can’t even do a simple ball roll.

Did they do something to FC25? Because all of the sudden none of my tactics seem to be working like they were. All my players are out of position and just seem like they don’t even push forward.
