@RoyalMailHelp are you aware your website is broken and I can't set up a mail redirect? It just says you need to sign up, then when you click sign up it says thanks for registering without taking any details. It's been like this for 2 months.

@HMRCcustomers It would also be helpful if the online assistant chat told you the specific phrasing for what to tell the phone based automated gate keeper of the actual advisor line - it's very distressing to be repeatedly hung up on over money that you are owed no matter how large the sum.

@HMRCcustomers I live in Australia and had a tax refund sent via cheque that I can't cash here. Can I get it transferred directly into the account I paid my tax from instead?

@HMRCcustomers Am finally in the on-hold queue after 5+ attempts. Can I give the feedback that the phone service and the online chat are severely limited to use as an overseas based tax payer. It was almost impossible to get the automation to acknowledge that I needed to speak to someone.

@FleurFine @FleurFine OK. So if you cannot send the cheque to your UK Bank account provider, you will need to keep trying the telephone helpline. It's best to try on +44 135 535 9022 between 08.00am and 09.00am UK time, we're least busy then. Tom

@HMRCcustomers I couldn't choose an online bank transfer, and whilst I do have a UK bank account I can't transfer the cheque to it from Australia. I can't get through to an advisor and the online chat said speak to an advisor. But your phone line keeps hanging up on me.
