@SusieBdds @lln_txs @stephlrgrs As a long time curler, touching the granite part of the rock with a finger tip during delivery has no effect on the outcome of where the rock stops. A curling stone is normally 38 to 44 pounds of granite. The length of a curling sheet is about 150 ft.

@lln_txs @stephlrgrs It’s a good question. I didn’t think it could be any advantage either but apparently a small touch can be used to alter the rotation slightly, steady vibration or nudge direction.

Never cared about curling until I found out Sweden set up a surveillance operation to catch Canada cheating. Now I’m invested. 🥌👀

@breannetidemann Good luck Breanne. It is a difficult thing to consider and a decision you will likely need to make without enough information. My position at Lacombe is terminated with no option to remain with AAFC. This is the case for a great many other good people.

I've always shared about my research on here so a brief update on my situation. My position in Lacombe has been terminated as the station is being closed. I have been given an opportunity to stay with AAFC if I relocate. My family and I are weighing our options.
