@lilyhops It's weird. Logically, everything seems right and I can agree with the concept of moving past your regrets to change for the sake of constructive progress, but yet I have a hard time accepting it. I don't think I can work to keep moving forward without the weight of regret.

Enemies that allow flexibility to let weapon/attack combos flow freely without much worry of other mechanics feels nicer and is much easier to digest both as the player and the viewer compared to some of the tougher enemies and bosses. For the sake of viewership to folks who don't play, the challenging enemy mechanics just become a nuisance.
I say it's harder for someone who doesn't play to appreciate a fight against an enemy since they don't know what enemy behaviors makes that opponent challenging. As a player, I feel like I can appreciate the way a fight or a combo flows differently because I know what a player is doing to play around those challenges.
That being said, I like the Cavaliere Angelo bossfight because I think he's challenging, fun, and easy to digest as a player and a non-player.

@ShadChes72 Made me think of Outer Wilds and now I'm sad. Lovely piece though!

I do honestly wish I had gotten into DMC3 back in the 2000s, I would've appreciated the series much more differently, but I don't think I would've gotten as into the series had I started with 1 or 3 now that I'm much older and games are so different now.
I might be reaching a bit when I say this, but after playing DMCV so much and investing time into learning the characters' stories, I think I'm able to enjoy DMC3 more because I feel a bit more invested now. I won't ever be able to experience the story in the same way as someone who started it chronologically but I'm glad I got to be able to experience it at all and appreciate it now. (Sorry for posting an essay)
