It's like you are trying to start an agenda that does not exist Football today isn’t the same game it was 10–15 years ago, higher intensity, more advanced tactics, better sports science, nutrition, recovery methods, VAR, and data-driven coaching have completely changed the environment players perform in. Even travel, match congestion, and physical demands are on another level now. So when you stack numbers side by side, you’re not really comparing like-for-like conditions. Both Ronaldinho and Vini Jr are products of their own eras, and each had to deal with completely different demands on and off the pitch. Greatness doesn’t always sit in stats especially when the game itself keeps evolving.

Interesting shout but I’m not fully convinced 🔥 Gordon’s work rate and intensity would fit Flick perfectly, no doubt. That pressing monster energy is exactly what we need. But playing him as a proper striker long-term feels like a stretch, he’s more effective cutting in from the left. We’d be going ultra-fluid/no #9 again, which can be brilliant (like PSG) but also leaves us toothless in certain games. Ferran’s form is a big plus though.
