When news started filtering in that Chelsea will give the new coach more authority, many people didn't believe. Alright, it's very understandable considering things that had happened. Then Alonso was rumoured, the best among available coaches. They said he would never accept Chelsea under this ownership and without Champions League football. Still understandable. Fortunately, Alonso was eventually hired, given authority and at the same time made MANAGER not HEAD COACH, which surprised everyone. Now, the narrative has shifted to "He hasn't signed a player to gauge his influence" as if we will ever know who influences any new signing. You can't just help some people in this fanbase, who are more interested in negative narratives and agendas over the progress of this club. Ask yourself what you truly want. To shame the owners or for Chelsea to become a more progressive club? We all have a part to play. We don't need to take this energy of "nothing the owners do will satisfy us" into the season. Let's pull our weight behind the club and the new manager, offer the team an unwavering support and make Stamford Bridge a fortress and a nightmare for visiting clubs. I will alway say, "owners will come and go, but Chelsea will remain forever". Trying to shame the owners to the detriment of Chelsea’s success makes you a narcissistic. It's just as simple as that.
