Full of Eyes

[3/4] Then God, as Man, doth Him recline Beside her curse’ed flesh As myrrh and nard and frankincense Fill all that House of Death. And now the Tomb is Paradise, And Eden whelms the Grave For here the Bread and Wine of God One flesh with ours is made.

HOLY SATURDAY - 2026 [1/4] O, Tree upon Golgotha’s height, Did your long-fathers know That one among their sylvan seed Should ferry God below— Below the waking world of men Below the barren earth Where dreaming shades in silence wait The promise of their birth?

[4/4] To raise her as one newly born And, from His pierce’ed side, To wash her of her birthing blood As His beloved Bride.

[3/4] O Cherubim and Seraphim, O Rims of Wheeling Eyes, Bow down before the King of kings Who triumphs in the skies! Who triumphs o’er the ancient fiend, The Serpent midst the trees, Who triumphs o’er our mortal fate To raise accursed Eve.
