How much longer will we pretend old designs can’t outlast the new ones? Case in point: A-10 Warthog
Satellite images just showed 24 A-10 Warthogs parked at a Jordanian airbase, right on Iran’s doorstep.
This jet was supposed to be retired years ago—too old, too slow for modern air wars.
But Iran doesn’t fight with fighter jets.
It fights with swarms of cheap Shahid drones, fast attack boats in the Strait of Hormuz, and proxy militias that hide in civilian areas.
Against those threats, the A-10 is a perfect predator.
They’ve fitted it with laser-guided rockets to swat drones out of the sky without wasting million-dollar missiles—some Warthogs already sport drone kill markings on the fuselage.
Its 30mm GAU-8 cannon turns small boats into scrap metal, and its ability to loiter for hours makes it a nightmare for anything moving on the surface.
In February 2026, A-10s were photographed circling U.S. mine-hunting ships, training for exactly this fight: low, slow, and devastating.
The bird isn’t dying.
It’s being reborn for the asymmetric wars of tomorrow.
What does it say about modern warfare when a 50-year-old plane is suddenly the best answer to today’s threats?

⚠️ Meta is shutting down its Metaverse, a $80 Billion collapse:
In 2021, Mark Zuckerberg was so confident in the metaverse that he renamed his entire company after it. Facebook turned into Meta.
The stock immediately lost $700 billion in value. That should've been the sign.
But instead of pivoting, he doubled down. Then tripled down. Then quadrupled down every single year for five straight years. Each year the losses grew. Each year the vision stayed the same. Each year fewer people cared.
Peak users: 300,000. The target was 1 billion. He missed by 99.97%. 20 million headsets sold. More than half abandoned within six months. Turns out people don't want to attend meetings as a cartoon with no legs. 21,000 employees fired. 1,500 more from Reality Labs alone. And now, Horizon Worlds is officially shutting down in June 2026.
$84 billion spent. The most expensive product launch in corporate history. And the legacy? A company that changed its name for a product nobody wanted, built a world nobody visited, and burned more cash than most countries produce. The metaverse was never the future. It was one man's $84 billion bet against reality. And reality won.

@StealthQE4 Who wins?
Think strategically.
Remember when POTUS said "Drill baby drill?"

At this point all of this is pure evil as far as I’m concerned.
What in the actual f*ck is going on? Why are we destroying ourselves?
This is a global crisis. It’s no longer the US vs Iran.

@dreizinreport Huh?
I was surprised that Turkey did not say the thing today.
They might say it tomorrow.
We declare war on the Republic of Iran, and we announce diplomatic renewal with Israel.

With yesterday's shockingly successful strike on the Holy of Holies, Qatar's Ras Laffan LNG plant---and in general, with Iran now launching way fewer missiles and drones, yet (with "outside help", because karma comes around!) doing more substantive damage---it is clear that nothing much more can be done to Iran, without bringing down the USA and shutting down or even starving half the world... and thus, this war against Iran is LOST. Which means that a revolution in Bahrain is again on the table, and a complete U.S. withdrawal from the Persian Gulf cannot be fully ruled out, either. And then, of course, The Hague never went anywhere. Those who voted for a "disruptor", sure got what they voted for.

👀🇺🇸🇮🇷 Will the U.S. launch a military operation to secure the Strait of Hormuz in the coming days?
🔘 Yes — operation will start within 1–2 weeks
🔘 Yes — but limited (naval escorts only)
🔘 No — pressure will stay political
🔘 Iran will escalate first

Gen Z is always bitching about how they can’t afford anything and I get it. They kinda got screwed.
But every generation has its own downsides. My grandparents grew up during the f***ing Great Depression!
I’m a Gen X kid. My dad taught me how to ride a bike by holding the seat at the top of a hill with sticker bushes at the bottom and said “when you turn away before the sticker bush you’ll be riding your bike.”
He’d let go and face first I’d go into the bushes. Took 6 or 7 tries before I dodged them.
No helmet, no nothing. Just pain.
And in college we didn’t have DoorDash; we had to put on clothes, walk out into the elements, and actually drive to Wendy’s. HUNGOVER!
Point is I agree you guys got screwed, but feeling sorry for yourself won’t fix anything. Time to put on your big boy pants and roll with the punches.
Yes life isn’t fair, but at least you aren’t storming the beaches of Normandy.
I mean in real life, not on Call of Duty.

This is a silly take. Who would have written an article to protect Adolf Hitler?
