I also heard that though it is not prohibited, Islam discourages a girl from the city from marrying in a village but promotes a village girl marrying in the city.
And if the husband is rich and he marries a first wife from a poor background and a second wife from a rich family, he must treat them financially equally.
No system or ism pamper women and give them rights like Islam, as long as society and men follow the Sunnah by action, not just by mouth, because what our beloved Prophet Muhammad wants is for every father to be loving and for every girl to be treated like a princess and every woman like a queen, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.
