08/06/2022 - Week 2 commenced with a visit to the PAN Learning Centre where LGA Youth Facilitators & young adults selected from the SSR, aged 16-24 are to be trained in Automotive Technology:- the practical application of knowledge about self-propelled vehicles or machines.

The DG, Hussaini Abubakar, gave an overview of the origin, functions and achievements of the Centre. He assured the participants of a worthwhile experience & the likely prospects of the outcome. The rep of the State Lead gave an outline of ARC-P & the Kaduna context.

12/02/2022- At the end of our intervention, the child must have attained a good state of HEALTH, be SAFE, enrolled into SCHOOL or acquired SKILLS through our vocational projects, and be STABLE enough for reintegration. In the process of working with the ARC, we must Do No Harm.

11/02/2022: The team, together with CIHP & CBOs like Bako Youth Development Foundation, @hapwoi, @fantsuam, & @GIWAC concluded plans to design tools for collecting ARC-P-specific data on vulnerable children and young adults in the 23 LGAs of the State.

The Kaduna State Commissioners of @KDHSSD & @Kaduna_MoE (@HafsatMohBaba & @Drshehumakarfi) graced the occasion and delivered the opening remarks & a goodwill message respectively. They encouraged the children to utilise the opportunity for making informed career choices.

GIWAC as GIWAC-PAS organised a one-day meeting on career guidance & counselling for graduating female students from Technical & Vocational Schools in Kaduna State. Participation included students from GTC Kajuru, Soba & Chikun and Queen Amina College.

The meeting was sponsored by @drpc_nig under the auspices of @PACFaHatSCALE. Recall that the coalition had also supported these students during their examinations.
