4/7b We also recommend: · More effective multi-agency working. • Orders that enable gardaí to exclude the perpetrator from the home. • Domestic violence disclosure scheme. • Enhanced bail laws.

4/7a We recommend: • A trauma-informed service. • Better identification and management of risk to victims. • A more proactive approach to disrupting and managing offenders. • Scrutiny of arrests, detections and court outcomes.

3/7 We found: • The Garda Síochána is committed to supporting and protecting victims • Many personnel are delivering a high-quality service, but this was not consistent • The Garda Síochána has taken steps to improve how it deals with domestic abuse, but needs to do more
