I’ve been constantly going back and forth on what Barca are in need of more this summer, a top striker or a top CB. Having watched the first half of this PSG vs Bayern semi final… I think it’s abundantly clear we need a top CB to compete at this level.

I want us to be ruthless with sales this summer. Of course you can’t, and shouldn’t, force players out. But between the likes of Ferran, Casado, Araujo, and even Kounde (plus getting Lewy’s wages off the books), there’s A LOT of reinvestment potential without compromising the integrity of our core.

The season is basically over: La Liga and Super Cup won, Copa del Rey semi-final exit, and UCL quarter-final exit. On a scale of 1–10, how would you realistically rate it?

Barca play the best brand of football as it’s entrenched in the culture. Serial chokers in the biggest competition so you always have something to rage about. Financial struggles in recent years so you have an excuse for said failures. Youngest core of stars in world football so you’ll be sorted for years to come.

Final thoughts. To get knocked out by a side that trials us by 22 points domestically, not once but *twice*, it’s inexcusable. I have A LOT of love for Hansi Flick and this squad, but said it when the draw was announced, anything less than a SF finish (at minimum) would be an automatic failure in Europe. And it is. That’s taking nothing away from Atleti. They knew how to exploit us and did it with immense efficiency, but we’ve got to look inwards. Between Inter last season and Atleti today, we’ve REALLY dropped the ball when it’s mattered.

“Spirit of the game” now. Just another vehicle to give referees entire subjective power when officiating owning the door for further influence. I assure you there was no spirit of the game considered when issuing the red card on Cubarsi even though context cues are actually written into that law. But instead we hear “nobody wants to see that given” for a cut and dry handball. Utterly pathetic argument when we’re talking about PROFESSIONALS in their craft earning millions to be good at what they do and that includes following the rules
