@iMiaSanMia @TSN_Sports @CANMNT_Official The youngest captain and the greatest leader in the World Cup. Our Captain Phonzie ♥️

🇨🇦 Alphonso Davies' speech to his Canada teammates ahead of their World Cup opener yesterday

@iMiaSanMia I can never understand kids nowadays
They really want a football coach to go on a press conference and tell the world his team is shit, and he will be loosing the three games?
English

Dick Advocaat (Curaçao head coach): "The fact that we're playing Germany right at the start is fantastic. We'll know immediately where we stand. We want to advance to the next round. An upset is always possible. And an upset could be all it takes to advance. We have a chance. There's a lot of ambition in this team. And when you have that, you can achieve a lot" [@BILD]

English

@RakoFUT @iMiaSanMia So he should go on a press conference and tell the world that his team is loosing 3 games?
English

@iMiaSanMia This might be the most delusion I’ve ever seen. There is literally no chance they even get a point in this group
English

@TouchlineX Only correct answer is Gordon
Barcelona football club is the most stupid ever. Buying Gordon for 80 while Rashford is literally theirs for less than 30 and even better
English

@TouchlineX Nobody likes you in Africa
Even the neighbor countries like Algeria and Tunisia
And now the countries of West Africa hate you since you stole the AFCON from Senegal
English

@iMiaSanMia @lequipe Aside than being a Real Madrid player.. there is no reason to hate Mbappé, he is a well likeable guy, humble and down to earth.
I wish he leaves the shit hole very soon
English

🇫🇷 France captain Kylian Mbappé spoke about each of his 25 teammates in @lequipe ahead of the World Cup
• On Michael Olise: "He is the player of today and tomorrow. He has that elegance and vision in his game. I get along very well with him. These days, we speak French together. He speaks it well. Then again, he has the kind of personality that means you, the media, will probably never know whether his French is improving or not, because he doesn’t talk to you very much (laughs). He doesn’t like it; that’s just who he is. Michael is an introvert. He chooses his words carefully and sparingly. But his feet do the talking for him. Accept him as he is. He will never change. On top of being an extraordinary player, he’s also a great person."
• On Dayot Upamecano: "He is in one of the best phases of his career right now. Dayot is among the very top defenders at the moment - he's one of the first names that comes to mind when you think about the best defenders around. He's had a successful season, but beyond that, he has been consistently performing at a high level and hasn’t really had any dips in form throughout the campaign. I like that combination of shyness and self-confidence. At first, he comes across as very shy, but he is also completely sure of who he is. It’s great to have him around"

English

@iMiaSanMia @SkySportDE Loosers mentality, embarrassing
The nation of fighters is way gone.. No more Matthäus, Sammer, Effenberg, Schweinsteiger
This German team deserves every humiliation
English

The internal goal that has been set for this World Cup is the quarterfinals. If the German team reaches the last 8, the DFB would consider it a success. Reaching the first semifinals of a major tournament since the 2014 World Cup would be considered a huge success [@SkySportDE]

@iMiaSanMia During my life as a Bayern fan.. I watched Kovac on the pitch playing, I watched him as a coach.. and now as a club savior.
Once a red forever a red ♥️

Niko Kovač advised Bayern against signing one of his own Dortmund players last year
How? Last summer, after Bayern failed to sign priority target Nico Williams, they turned to alternatives. One of them was Dortmund's Jamie Gittens. The supervisory board, including Uli Hoeneß and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, was skeptical about the player. A club employee was tasked with contacting Niko Kovač to get an honest opinion from him about Gittens. Kovač is said to have made it more than clear that he considers the Englishman "not professional enough" to succeed at FC Bayern. The club then abandoned the pursuit of Gittens and went all in on Luis Díaz. Gittens ended up joining Chelsea

English

@iMiaSanMia Technically, Curaçao is not an independent country.
It is a dependency under the authority of the Netherlands
It's a great chance for them though to shine on the highest stage. Gotta love them
English

Aleksandar Pavlović on facing Curaçao on Sunday: "At the time of the draw, I didn't know the country, I have to admit. But it's certainly a great event for them, and we're looking forward to the game. We've seen some footage of them. They try to counter-attack and sit very deep. We have to watch out for that. I’m looking forward to getting started and we’re all excited" [ZDF]

@iMiaSanMia Good call
That may save you some reputation after what you did in Qatar

Germany team director Rudi Völler on calls to boycott the World Cup in the US and the political issues in the country:
"This discussion, which took place months ago, about whether we should discuss a boycott internally at the DFB – I've always considered that wrong. At the end of the day, you have to separate the two. Personally, even as a young player in the early 1980s, I was against boycotting the Olympics. Because it didn't achieve anything in 1980 or 1984. I felt it was wrong then, and I still feel it's wrong now. Because it only harms the athletes and spectators and accomplishes nothing. But I agree that some of the things you read are not pleasant. However, I'm optimistic and hope things remain calm and it will be a great World Cup."
• On Somali referee Omar Artan, who wasn't allowed to enter the country: "I would have preferred things to be different. We all heard about that, and it’s not pleasant to read. I can’t comment on the exact reasons why he wasn’t allowed in. I’d like to answer it, and I’m not afraid to answer political questions, but I don’t know the reasons. It’s a bit of a pity. Of course, we don’t approve of what’s happening. But unfortunately, we can’t change it. We’re here to play in a World Cup, we want to play football. That doesn’t mean we’re saying we don’t want to be involved or that we’re not politically interested – that’s simply not the case."
"We are the wrong people to ask about the problems that have occurred and those that may still arise. My gut feeling tells me this won't be the last story. We're trying to concentrate on football and play a good World Cup. We'll see about the rest."

English

can we all agree that Nuno & Hakimi are already the best full back pairing of all time
(fan)Dc🇧🇪@justdc4838
Guess the number 1 duo?
English

imo Harry Kane will win it and here is why
-other players will compete with Mbappe for goals
-same goes for Dembele
-Lamine Yamal isnt at that goalscoring stage yet
-Messi & Ronaldo are not good enough
Harry Kane it is

@Yssasylla95 @TouchlineX You better clean your country from shit, being top 3 on crime rate and top 1 in racism and top 5 in domestic violence.
You can shove this nation up you ass
English

@TouchlineX we don’t give a fuck . If you so mad just don’t come to the usa 🇺🇸.
A visa is a privilege not a right
English

🚨🤯 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Everything that has happened in the last few days, prior to the start of the World Cup:
• Switzerland's Embolo had visa issues and could only join the team days later.
• Iraq striker Aymen Hussein was questioned for almost 7 hours after arriving in the United States.
• Iran spent days dealing with visa problems before the World Cup. Fifteen members of their delegation were denied visas.
• CAF's 2025 African Referee of the Year, Omar Artan, was denied entry to the U.S. and sent back home. FIFA confirmed he would miss the tournament.
• South Africa arrived much later than planned because some members of the delegation could not get visas.
• Senegal staff members were subjected to long searches and forced to remove their shoes, leading to accusations of racism.
• Uzbekistan's team was searched with bomb-sniffing dogs, with videos spreading around the world.
• Some Scotland fans had their ESTA travel authorisations cancelled just days before departure.
• Many fans who had already bought tickets and booked hotels had their visa applications rejected, losing large amounts of money.

English

@TouchlineX It's always a bad idea to make a World Cup in the most hated country in the world.. run by a bunch of hypocrites who think the world revolves around their country.
As a third world country citizen.. I prefer to stay here rather than visiting this crappy nation
English

@iMiaSanMia DFB rushed Karl and Neuer as well.
I wish we can stop the none sense for once.
Its the world cup, the biggest competition for any player, and being played on his homeland..
If it was me, i would play with one leg
English

@FabrizioRomano As a professional journalist, and a Florentino Perez mercenary. You should learn how to spell names.
It's Eichhorn with double H
English

🚨 Kennet Eichorn has just completed his medical as new Bayer Leverkusen player. Deal done for one of the best talents in Germany.
Several English and German clubs keen but Eichorn picks Leverkusen project. €9m release clause has been activated.
Contract until June 2031, as @Plettigoal @SkySportDE reported. 🔴⚫️🇩🇪
