See why I gave to The Nature Conservancy! preserve.nature.org/page/173880/do… help our friends in Nature (all animals as well as birds, bees etc.) live with us and we live with them! I am so lucky to live in this world and I feed the birds, the fish and any other critter that needs a meal.😊

@ML3democrats I love President Obama AND Michelle Obama AND their children. He was the best President of my lifetime and she is consistently wonderful and yes stunning and elegant. I wish they were still in the White House, but they continue to serve our nation in so many ways!

Let me tell you about Riona, the little pitbull mix who broke the internet and broke my heart.
Last year, someone intentionally set her on fire.
Gasoline. A match. And then they watched her run down the street in flames.
She didn’t attack anyone. She didn’t do anything wrong.
She was just a dog who trusted the wrong human.
But here’s what shattered me:
Even while her skin was burning… her tail was still wagging when people ran to help her.
How?
How can a soul still choose love after experiencing the absolute worst of humanity?
She lost an ear. Her body was covered in burns. She went through endless bandage changes, surgeries, skin grafts.
Most dogs would have shut down. But Riona? She greeted every vet, every nurse, every stranger with kisses.
They called her “the warrior girl.”
People all over the world followed her journey. Kids sent her gifts. Donations poured in. A new animal cruelty bill was even inspired by her case.
And after a year of fighting to live, something incredible happened.
She was adopted.
Not by just anyone, but by a family who understood her pain, with other dogs to play with, children who adore her, and a yard full of freedom.
She went from burning on the street…
to sleeping in a warm bed.
From being treated like trash…
to being loved like family.
And that’s why her story hits so deep:
Yes, there are cruel people in this world…
But there are also people who will drive hours, donate money, stay up all night, change bandages, and fight like hell to give one broken dog a second chance.
Riona didn’t just survive.
She won.
And honestly? That might be the most beautiful victory of all. ❤️
