With over 14,000 acres, Stone Mountain State Park is considered to be in the top 3 largest state parks in North Carolina. The park has over 20 miles of designated trout streams. This is just one of the #waterfalls you can find exploring Stone Mountain State Park.

#Prescribedfires improve and protect the #habitat. It also helps to prevent #wildfires. We followed Park Ranger Jeff Turner and Park Superintendent Steve Rogers on a #prescribedfire at Merchants Millpond State Park.
