@GoodFarm2012 @CleansedTweets How many times do you think the Thai people have to put up with drunk yob behaviour like this from westerners. I would be pissed off with this too!

@CleansedTweets When I lived upcountry, we rented a 2 bedroom house in the city in a gated estate (with pool) for 10k The city has an airport (1 hrs to BKK), Italian, Mexican, Japanese, American restaurants as well as great local food, countless coffeeshops, and a good hospital Oh and nature!

Some of those in the comments getting their knickers in a twist are renting in places in the countryside with basic access to the modern conveniences Thailand has to offer. I stand by the post. You need 90k baht to live well.

Influences on Insta saying you can live well in Thailand for $1000 a month are lying to you. You need 3x more (minimum) to live well. Thailand dwellers Agree?

@JohnMay10813401 @CleansedTweets They're cowards They humble a farang 5v1; not an honourable fight They know the farang has no power, legal or otherwise Thais are scared of Thais tho They let things go for fear of retribution. Thais can come back with friends, family, guns They know how savage they can be

@CleansedTweets rule 1 of visiting Thailand - thai folks are generally kind but if you cross the line, they do not hesitate to humble you. And the police? They’ll always be on the side of thais.

@CT0106 @CleansedTweets Exactly 💯 I call this #FarangDerangementSyndrome They wouldn't celebrate it under other circumstances, but when Thais do something like this to farang, it is applauded Farang seem to hate farang here. And they get 'in love' with Thailand and Thais can do no wrong

@CleansedTweets Don’t think that’s something to be celebrated. The kid looked passive & didn’t raise his hands. Just more thugs with security outfits on looking for the chance to jump tourists 4-5 to 1. No real security would be stomping on a kids head until he’s unconscious. Strange take.

@jagsinghJPJ @CleansedTweets If you don't get drunk and fuck up, you won't get hurt. I bet this foreigner started this, and got well and truly found out. There needs to be more of it.

@jagsinghJPJ @CleansedTweets Yeah, can't respect foreigners who applaud this It is a strange phenomenon with farang who love Thailand to these extreme levels and seem to hate their own kind If farang did it to a Thai, they'd not applaud under any circumstances Farang derangement syndrome

@CleansedTweets Are we really celebrating 5 to 6 men beating senseless a very limp, useless, party going teenage drunk and kicking him in the head while he’s grounded? Surely a simple rear body lock or double cup hold would have done the job.

@CleansedTweets Ironically, it's the guards that do that. Unprofessional. And always the same pattern. As soon as 1 Thai throws the first punch, 4+ more jump in until he is KO'd I didn't see the farang throw a single punch; he wasn't a threat. Attempted murder. How can you respect that? 🤔

@CleansedTweets Maybe so, but Thais tend to have skin scent that is like musty, leather and not in a good way, at least to my nose. You notice it in lifts and on MRT/BTS I have definitely smelled stinky armpits on Chinese and very commonly Indians. At least farang skin isn't stinky

@GoodFarm2012 I can’t really talk about the happenings without bragging. But the city allows for a range of extremely exciting lifestyles, especially if you have a group of close friends to share it with like I do. And it can all be done on a budget.

Imagine living in California in the 1970s and all the wild cultural things happening. Locals didn’t know they were living through history. That’s Bangkok today. But of course, it will only be recognized in hindsight.

I cannot believe that I’ve been living in Bangkok during the 2020s. It might be what Rome or the Renaissance were to people who had no idea they were living through something historic. But I feel aware that I’m watching history unfold.

@eftegarie Roaming the sois of Bangkok used to be fun in the pre-smartphone era It was full of friendly encounters Can't even get the attention of women outside parlours or bars anymore cos they are glued to their screens And Thais are way less happy than before. Jaded and cut throat.

@CleansedTweets Not sure honesty is right word They lie a lot to save face and being insincere is acceptable if it keeps social harmony Westerners, I think, are more honest, genuine, and sincere.....but they know it's rude to joke about someone's weight Try calling an Asian dark or ugly, lol

@CleansedTweets With over 200k quid, surely you could have bought a place in the UK, no need for mortgage. That kind of money would get a 2 bedroom flat in the West End of Glasgow; great location for renting out. Surely, you could find similar in your hometown, unless your from London.

Can foreigners buy an apartment in #Thailand? Yes. 💕 This is old news to some here on X, I've post about this a few times, but not in this detail before. In 2019 I purchased an apartment in #Bangkok. Here are the details about costs, possible rental prices, the monthly maintenance fee etc. 1. Location: Silom 2. Size: 78sqm (840 sq ft) 3. Price: 9,250,000 Baht ($290,000 at the time I believe) *the higher the floor the higher the price. 4. Yearly maintenance: Over 40,000 Baht ($1,400)*Pricey! But pays for the security, pool, gym, rubbish collection etc 5. Local Tax: $20 a year 6. Build Quality: Amazing, it's Eastern Star. Great rep! The earth quake had little effect Insurance: $400 a year inc contents 7. Was the process to buy hard: Easy, very easy. 8. Crucial info: You must transfer the entire purchase price (and usually your share of the transfer fees) from outside Thailand in foreign currency (USD, GBP, EUR, etc.). When sending the money to Thailand, BE SURE to put as the reason for the payment 'to purchase an apartment.' 9. Transfer fee: 2% of value (normally split between the buyer and seller) 10. Facilities: Great pool. Not quite roof top, but almost. 11. Rental possibilities: 40k to 50k baht ($1300 to $1550). I have never officially rented this. 12. Has it gone up in value: A little bit 🙂Market has cooled down and prices are falling 13. Can you get cheaper: You can get really cheap apartments in Bangkok and in the centre too. 14. Why buy in Bangkok: I was at my wits end I had money for a house in the UK, but was denied a mortgage. I was working in China at the time and I knew Bangkok well, so it made sense at the time. 15. Any regrets: NONE! But if I do this again, which I hope to, I would buy an older apartment like Waterford Diamond next to Thonglor Sukhumvit 30/1. The apartments are bigger and more affordable. 16. I am happy to share photos inside the apartment if there's any interest rather than the stock photos you can see here in the post. Hope this helped, or made you think about buying a home in Thailand. 💕

Evaluating a sub $2M market cap stock. Insider ownership is very low but everything else about the company seems to check the boxes. I'm intrigued. Wouldn't take much to be the largest shareholder in the company.
