One of the most misunderstood expressions in the Bible is ‘WORK OUT YOUR SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING’. It has been twisted into a most virulent legalistic idiom. Last week, we saw that God doesn’t want us to serve Him from fear but from love.

Men are not superior to women however the man is the head of his wife. Men are instructed to love their wives, women are instructed to submit to their husbands. Ephesians 5.22 to 25. 7. We began to discuss SELF-LOVE last Wednesday. We emphasized that God wants us to love ourselves. We cannot love people more than we love ourselves. Our evaluation of us reflects in our evaluation of others. This evening we investigate the highest kind of self-love.
