At this point I would assume after we learned Crash 4 sold over 5M that everybody would kind of just understand that commercial viability wasn’t the barrier to getting stuff like a new mainline Spyro… it was CoDivision’s miserly shortsighted business strategy as a publisher.

Actually, it took Toys for Bob going completely independent and having a partnership with Xbox for Spyro to get new life. If they were still stuck with Activision, Spyro: A Realm Beyond wouldn’t be a thing, despite the Reignited Trilogy having sold over 10 million copies 🤷🏾♂️

Oh, trust me, I’ve experienced the horrors of entries like Enter the Dragonfly. I just never got too deep into stuff like A New Beginning.
But, trust, I know it got bad and it was a bummer as someone who loved the OGs, witnessing the pedigree tank.

Not familiar enough with 2000s-era Spyro to make a call on this but I dig how active the free flying gameplay looks.
There seems to be a fair bit of interesting interaction going on in terms of building momentum, maintaining speed, and gaining height.
