Dennis Franz, best known for his role on NYPD Blue, is a Vietnam War veteran who served 11 months in South Vietnam after being drafted into the U.S. Army in 1968. He served as a paratrooper with both the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions. His service, which included time during the Tet Offensive, left a lasting, life-altering impact on him.

Robert Butler (1927-2023) directed the TV pilots of Star Trek, Hogan's Heroes, Batman, The Blue Knight, Hill Street Blues, Remington Steele (a show which he also co-created), Moonlighting, Sisters, and Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.
