@loonlypaper Oh, I'm so glad I discovered your profile, I love your art :D

@CombatPigeon96 Assuming its power is similar to the Rocketdyne F-1 (the Saturn V rocket engine), which has a thrust of 6,770 kN at sea level, then yes, it would slow the Earth down... In about 5 trillion years.
I spent way too much time on this.

I love how there’s technically nothing wrong with this statement

I think this is dangerous because it accelerates the earth's rotation speed and it could kill us

@lucius_ned @aliencitogei Creo que seria The Other Side of the Wind de Orson Welles.

@aliencitogei The thief and the cobbler tardo 28 años en producción...

@Dexerto I see how here people are complaining about an optional add-on on Wikipedia, and yet they're using this site to post that it does exactly the same thing they're complaining about...

@DeathlyPrice Yah, that applies to any other digital storage medium like CDs, DVDs, flash drives, SSDs, etc. The only difference is that you can't directly read information from a HDD without a computer.
But tbh it's not like books are perfect storage media either.
English

Technically... Doesn't a hard drive filled with MP4s also count as Physical Media?
Javo, Lack of surprises@javier078
Physical media, accept no substitutes
English

@DeathlyPrice Oh, then it would be simple. If I'm not mistaken, I don't think even SeamlessHD requires a specialized mod for SourceNext versions to support HD textures/backgrounds, so it could be the same in this case.
English

@HalfTitanium i wasnt asking for a total conversion, i was asking about the logistics of adding brand new re-rendered backgrounds at much, much higher resolutions and them not breaking the way the game works
English

Ignoring that this is AI, I have a pretty good question here, I am not a game dev, so I don't know.
What would stop somebody from making completely brand new recreations of the original environments in blender or something, rendering identical screenshots in lets say 4k and then injecting them into the SourceNext versions of RE2/RE3?
I mean, I know there would be filesize issues, and it would probably bring the requirements to run it up drastically, but, with the SeamlessHD project existing and stuff, it makes me wonder if just simple upscaling is all that can be done.

@DeathlyPrice An example of what I'm saying could be Dark Biohazard. A planned mod for RE2 that sadly never saw the light of day despite the progress shown by its creator, and was left to rot without even a playable build for the public.
English

@DeathlyPrice I think the main problem would be the time required to do that.
Not everyone would have the time for such a recreation, and I mean, it's not uncommon for mods to be abandoned because they were too ambitious or because the author no longer had the time to continue.

@dev_bonnie I feel that, whether or not the bedrock edition existed, the legacy editions wouldn't have been spared from having their support for older consoles removed and the arrival of the marketplace. Microsoft would simply find a way to optimize them to generate more profit anyway.
English

the existence of Minecraft Bedrock Edition is so fucking pointless omfg
