Man of Steel is better than James Gunn’s Superman. Now that the dust has settled & enough time has passed, can’t we all just agree on that? Isn’t there enough division in the world? Shouldn’t there be one thing we can unite over? Zack Snyder did Superman better than James Gunn.

Which sequel would you like most?

@BurbunPitt More accurate to what though? Historical Bronze Age Greece, or a fictional book written in the Archaic Age that blended both eras together in a unique way that never existed?

Christopher Nolan is known for realism in movies But still Troy (2004) looks more accurate than The Odyssey #TheOdyssey

@witte_sergei Homer actually drew inspiration from the Archaic Age as well as the Bronze Age for the warriors in the Oddysey. If you look at Archaic Greek armor (Hoplites) it’s very dramatic and very different from Bronze Age armor.

We’re all probably tired of armor-posting but it’s pretty funny that people are insisting there’s no way to make Bronze-Age appropriate armor look good on screen when Troy pulled it off just fine 20 years ago.

@Matt_Pinner Idris would make a great retired 00 as a supporting character. I think the best pics I can think of would be Luke Evans or Henry Cavill. Tough call all around after Daniel Craig, but to be true to the books Bond should be British, white, in his 30s or 40s.

Who would you pick to play the next James Bond?

It really leaned far too heavily on the first movie. Which might have been done in a more artful way, but instead it felt like it needed Gladiator 1 as a crutch to stand on its own feet. Opening battle was fun. Paul lacked charisma in his role. Denzel overpowered everyone in his role (not his fault), and the twin emperors were more comedy than anything so the film really lacked the power of Commodus’s vs Maximus fight for power and morality.

@MovieEndorser I found myself really missing Emily’s character in the sequel. She brought something very special to the original that kept the chaos in balance.
