Although Shia LaBeouf wore fake cauliflower ears in “The Tax Collector” (to indicate that his character is an experienced fighter), he went even further by getting real tattoos all over his body highlighting his dedictation to director David Ayer. 🔥

@CinemaTweets1 And it’s not even close. Having said that, it felt like one took itself very seriously and the other didn’t even try, as though it was aimed at a less mature audience.

Man of Steel is better than James Gunn’s Superman. Now that the dust has settled & enough time has passed, can’t we all just agree on that? Isn’t there enough division in the world? Shouldn’t there be one thing we can unite over? Zack Snyder did Superman better than James Gunn.

Whitney Cummings just shredded the contradictions in 25 seconds of pure fire: - “We don’t believe in gender… but we need a female president.” - “My body, my choice… unless it’s a baby that needs a hep B vaccine (which comes from butt sex or sharing needles).” - “The seas are rising because of climate change… but we live on the coast and bought beachfront property.” Logic? Nowhere to be found. 25-sec clip — savage roast of modern hypocrisy 👇 Which contradiction hits you hardest? Drop it below.

@BurbunPitt More accurate to what though? Historical Bronze Age Greece, or a fictional book written in the Archaic Age that blended both eras together in a unique way that never existed?

@witte_sergei Homer actually drew inspiration from the Archaic Age as well as the Bronze Age for the warriors in the Oddysey. If you look at Archaic Greek armor (Hoplites) it’s very dramatic and very different from Bronze Age armor.

We’re all probably tired of armor-posting but it’s pretty funny that people are insisting there’s no way to make Bronze-Age appropriate armor look good on screen when Troy pulled it off just fine 20 years ago.

@Matt_Pinner Idris would make a great retired 00 as a supporting character. I think the best pics I can think of would be Luke Evans or Henry Cavill. Tough call all around after Daniel Craig, but to be true to the books Bond should be British, white, in his 30s or 40s.

It really leaned far too heavily on the first movie. Which might have been done in a more artful way, but instead it felt like it needed Gladiator 1 as a crutch to stand on its own feet. Opening battle was fun. Paul lacked charisma in his role. Denzel overpowered everyone in his role (not his fault), and the twin emperors were more comedy than anything so the film really lacked the power of Commodus’s vs Maximus fight for power and morality.

Russell Crowe slams ‘GLADIATOR 2’ “I think the sequel is a really unfortunate example of even the people in that engine room not understanding what made first one special.” “It wasn’t circumstance. It wasn’t the action. It was the moral core.”

@MovieEndorser I found myself really missing Emily’s character in the sequel. She brought something very special to the original that kept the chaos in balance.
