All that met Richard will know of his love for Hellingly and his passion to see the club do well. An incredible person, player and scorer, he will be greatly missed. All our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.

He was a huge part of the club and took up many roles on the committee. As a scorer he was one of the first to introduce video highlights in the league and he would spend hours putting together videos for players to enjoy.

The club are saddened to learn of the passing of Richard Ashby. Richard was a long time member of the club both as a player and, more recently, as a scorer.

Possibly the hardest season the club has had for a long time and hopefully will have for a long time too! The cricket hasn’t been great, but we’ve stuck at it and come together as a group, always finding a way to enjoy it. See ya Div 5 and 9, we’ll see you both again soon
