One of the recent projects at the museum involves an Ostrander-Seymour Co. chute board, traditionally used to square plates or smooth the edges of metal processed on the saw. This is a Style A, measuring 12” x 18”, with a squaring plane. #printingmuseum #printinghistory

Ran into an old friend in #Vienna recently. Unveiled in Dec 1900, the monument of #Gutenberg & the marble pedestal were created by sculptor Hans Bitterlich & architect Max Fabiani. The pedestal features a relief of the printers’ coat of arms. #printinghistory #moveabletype
