@georgeachillea Anyone would think he is swaying for the other team....... has to be reviewed surely? Decisions this season alone have been poor and seems var has got worse! Thought it was supposed to help refs!?

@Billie_T Proves all those that brushed it aside during the live game r just against spurs? ...thats it absolutely no other point? Damage done and a crucial game too. Amount of poor decisions made this season, they need to review the grading of these refs and var reviewers.

The Premier League's key match incidents panel has ruled Brian Brobbey should have been sent off in Spurs' defeat at Sunderland. As per @DaleJohnsonBBC, the panel voted 3:2 that referee Rob Jones made a mistake with "a two-handed push which is an unnecessarily reckless action".

@GaryRWard Fought hard, prob needed 1 more sub but run out! Football is cruel 😢 any other game and Danso is clearing that into row z ! Bentacur balances that midfield so was nervous when he came off. Xavi maybe shld have indicated b4 Gallacher was sub? All if and buts. 😞 feels like a loss.

@GaryRWard Mathematically as a fan u will hope they get enough to stay up but its been so long now since a win, without enough to show us where it will come from, have a sick feeling cos of where we r but a win could just change it all, How many times we been saying that this season though

Don't win today & I feel it's almost certainly Championship Football next season. An absolutely wild statement given how we won the Europa League last season, but the decline has been very evident for several years with continued neglect from the ownership & poor squad planning from its Sporting Directors. Today though, isn't about style or philosophy, it's about grit, hunger, desire & togetherness. Without that, we won't survive. Today is massive, a game that can't be understated. Come On You Spurs !! #THFC #SPURS #COYS #TOTTENHAM

@GaryRWard Mathematically it is still possible, but the way the results are going and what we need, if we lose and others around us win again... u feel then its goodbye! 😞 so many bad decisions have led them to this spot!. Fans then suffer more then anyone. Hope is fading, just need a win!

Tottenham's struggles continue. We seem to be struggling both mentally & physically, while making it tough to pose an attacking threat or keep clean sheets. The team is clearly low on confidence & hasn’t been playing at a consistent level in 18 months. Looking at the upcoming fixtures & the form of others around us, I'm genuinely struggling to find a way out of things right now. Will or can this weekend change some fortunes for us? We can only hope, pray & keep everything crossed. #THFC #SPURS #COYS #TOTTENHAM

@SpursFTStands Felt different as in, it wasnt down to a spurs mistake lol. felt robbed as should have been a draw, a deflected goal and poor ref decisions not in spurs favour. Happening most games now and its that sway decision that can decide a game. 😞 nxt game us no easier, sad times ahead.

@TJRamini Everytime we go a goal down u see it in their body lang, what with the ref and var against spurs , the game is decided once that first few decisions are made by them, and how the players also start and then react. They looked defeated with that unlucky deflection. 😕 coys

It’s mental. Not physical. Too many strolling about. I cannot understand how so many of our players seemingly don’t care or don’t care enough. You’d have to carry me off on a stretcher at the final whistle. They have to be prepared to kill themselves every game.

@TJRamini We didn't look like we had about 20 days off. Every player looked shattered

@ben_bowman_ Kudus will be key, him and tel on the wings could be a delight to see..think he will adapt some of his stlye, with prob just a little cautious at the back. we know they can adapt to it as Ange esque. If can get Nesta can only help be more solid at the back too.

Right then. How do we think De Zerbi is going to approach this? Do we think he tries to implement his style from the get go? We've got 11 days until Sunderland so a decent amount of time on the training pitch and I honestly think that's the best way to go with these players right now than trying to sit back and be hard to beat. You'd hope that with De Zerbi encouraging them to be more brave, take more risks a little bit of muscle memory from Ange's time kicks in and they remember that they are actually competent footballers that can build through the thirds. Obviously we haven't got the perfect profiles De Zerbi would want, especially in midfield, but I think with the empowerment to be brave I think Gray / Sarr / Bergvall and even Bentancur when he comes back is enough quality for now to help improve our build up. Even with Vicario, you saw under Ange he was much better with his feet because he had way more options and De Zerbi likes to commit a lot of men deep into the build up. I'm just not sure that trying to bunker down and be really hard to beat is what is going to get us out of this mess. It'll be interesting to see what opposition teams do against us now with De Zerbi in charge, whether they will press high and try and force errors trying to capitalise on the fragility of the players at the moment, or whether they'll sit back and try and expose some of De Zerbi's problems when it comes to breaking teams down and try and hit us on the break. Kudus coming back will be back as he loves a dribbly winger. Hopefully Tel is fit too as if we are able to lure teams in and build up well, he's a very good fit to attack the space in behind as De Zerbi likes with his striker and 10 dropping in to help form that box in Midfield. Be interesting, we'll see.

@Billie_T Its the sad thing, u want de zerbi to do well but if does..lange will take credit!.. lol. I feel de zerbi will have more control on players in and out, and lange will simply approve! Could actually work better, as from what has shown he shld be gone.

‘Creative and forward thinking’. This guy glazed Thomas Frank for a whole year who couldn’t be further from that. He absolutely cannot continue working at this football club.
Lilywhite Rose@Lilywhite_Rose

#thfc Johan Lange - “Roberto was our number one target for the summer and we are very pleased to be able to bring him in now. “He is one of the most creative and forward-thinking coaches in world football, and brings with him a wealth of experience at the highest level, including in the Premier League.”
