A: Semi-complex to complex would be things such as scenery, use of perspective, and/ or composition. Simple backgrounds would be things such as flat color, repeated patterns, and/ or elements rather than scene. See visual examples ^_^

A: Yes to both! You're more than welcome to change the clothes to fit the movement, as long as the character is recognizable/ retain elements of their OG design (ex. colors, accessories, silhouette, etc.) Or if there's a costume that fits the theme better, you can also use those!
