World Theatre Day🎭 World Theatre Day is celebrated every year on 27 March. This day is dedicated to all theatre workers – actors, directors, stage designers and everyone who helps keep theatre alive. The day was initiated in 1961 by the International Theatre Institute (ITI), an agency of UNESCO, to highlight the role of theatre in culture and society. Theatre Day is celebrated around the world with various performances, festivals and events. Each year, a renowned theatre artist presents a message for World Theatre Day, which draws attention to the importance of theatre and its role in society. Theatre is one of the oldest art forms, reflecting society and human nature. It inspires, educates and provides unforgettable experiences. Theatre allows us to experience stories directly and emotionally, bringing people together through a shared experience.
