So, we’re living on a ball that is made up of about 70% water on its surface, hanging in the middle of nothing, yet it keeps rotating by itself and the water doesn’t spill, and we don’t fall off????? I know it’s physics, I’m not lost 😭 I understand gravity. I’m just saying it’s both terrifying and amazing that we’re spinning in space like this and calling it normal.

I’m engaged, and my fiancé recently found out I own a small apartment that my parents helped me buy years ago. It’s in my name, fully paid off. I’ve always seen it as my safety net. Now he’s asking me to sell it after we get married so we can “invest together” and put everything into a house under both our names. He says keeping it means I’m planning for a future without him. But I don’t see it that way. I see it as something I built before him, something that protects me no matter what happens. And now I feel guilty for wanting to keep it.

I saw an event planner on X and really liked her work, so I recommended her for a job in Lagos worth over $7,000. But I was surprised when they told me they couldn’t work with her because the person who showed up wasn’t the same person I recommended. I reached out to her and asked why she sent someone else to represent her. I was shocked by her response: “I am the one. They said the person on my page has a different complexion from mine.” It turns out she edits her complexion using an app. In all her photos and videos, she appears light-skinned, whereas she’s actually dark-skinned 🤦🏾‍♂️ I still don’t understand the motive behind it.

When I talk about how RICH Nigeria is and why Nigeria is supposed to be a 1st world country, many of you dont understand. Do you know there was a time Nigeria used to lend money to other countries without shaking? Even the IMF and the World Bank? 1. As of 1974, Nigeria lent over $120 million to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). 2. Around that same year, we loaned the World Bank $240 million. Then the Nigeria Trust Fund (NTF) was created specifically to provide loans to African member countries. The only problem we have to date is mismanagement. If you know how much of our oil is unaccounted for, you would understand that building infrastructure na small challenge for Nigeria. But greedy politicians. Based on information flying around, @GovWike renovated the ICC with over ₦39 billion (About $29,000,000). Now, what is the real economic benefit of the ICC? I will allow you to answer that. But let me tell you how far that money would have gone for us. 1. Electricity: With $28.4M, we could realistically fund 20–50 MW of new capacity. 2. Connecting rail across the state: At optimistic estimates of $500K/km for basic standard gauge, per some claims, $28M might cover 50–60 km. 3. Security (Police): ₦39 billion could kit out over 13,000 officers, buy hundreds of vehicles, or rehab dozens of stations or barracks. 4. Instead of Seyi giving King Mitchy money to renovate schools, ₦39 billion would have done more in our education sector. Our problem is misplaced priority = Management. Remove that and we can fund and live our dream life with the right people in power. Note: When people talk about Africa’s largest oil reserves (around 37 billion barrels proven), they are talking about Nigeria. Aside from that, we still have natural gas + over 40 solid minerals (gold, tin, iron ore, etc.) But unfortunately, we are giants living like chickens because of greed and wickedness. @grok.

@Teeniiola Men who have something to lose must avoid girls who have nothing to lose at all costs. To think the guy in question is a bank manager moving with a girl like this is pathetic.

A lady shared a conversation she had with a man she visited at his house, where he allegedly wanted to have something with her, but she refused. However, the man came out in the video denying the claim. He said he never made such a move and that she’s not even his type. The lady also stated that because of a plate of spag, he wanted something from her, and she said he doesn’t find him sexvally attractive that’s some of the reason he can’t let him do anything with her

By now 1 or 2 person don the watch your account activities. Stage3: you drop a post and people will start engaging without you begging for it Stage4: where have you been, we've been waiting for your first post of the day.🤝🏻 NOW WHERE DO YOU BELONG,?

Clay, timber, bamboo, stone. Cameroon has all of it. Mexico took bamboo, harvested it on site from a nursery run by local women and built six treehouses inspired by the fins of Mobula rays that swim past the shore. Solar powered. No AC. The roof does the work. We use bamboo in Cameroon too. But visit Sème Beach in Limbe, a place that exists to showcase our culture and coastline and what you find are Eurocentric style buildings wannabes built badly. The materials that could make those spaces beautiful and genuinely ours are sitting in the ground, underutilized and uncut. The problem is not the material. It’s the craftsmanship. And the will. 📍 Juluchuca, Mexico 🇲🇽 🏛 Atelier Nomadic 📷 Playa Viva

The clay roof tile is one of the oldest building technologies in South Asia. It keeps rain out, lets heat escape, and ages into something more beautiful than the day it was laid. Lilly House in Calicut, Kerala sits surrounded by lily ponds. The roof splits across multiple levels, not for aesthetics, but to break down the scale of a large house into something that feels human. Timber ceilings, arched openings, verandahs. Every decision has a reason rooted in how people actually live in a tropical climate. This is the difference between building for a climate and building for a catalogue. More photos in the comments🏙️🧵 📍 Calicut, Kerala, India 🇮🇳 🏛 Aslam Sham Architects 📷 Ishita Sitwala

Clay roof tiles have been keeping buildings cool for thousands of years. The curved form creates air pockets between the tile and the roof deck. Hot air rises and escapes. The interior stays cool without a single mechanical system. Africa has the clay. Africa has the climate that demands it. Yet we keep importing steel roofing sheets that turn our homes into ovens. The answer has always been underfoot.
