The text further states that Masud was martyred by Suhaldev, a raja of Shravasti, possibly a vassal of the Gahadavala dynasty. However, it also claims that Masud’s lieutenant, Syed Ibrahim, later attacked and killed Raja Suhaldev. If one accepts the existence of Suhaldev, who appears primarily in Mirat-i Masudi, then it is worth asking why the rest of the narrative is dismissed?
