And when they re-emerge it’s almost always because of marketing. A trickshot clip gets posted on Twitter, it goes viral, player counts spike. That’s how it works, it’s marketing. It always has been and it always will be. There are other contributing factors, but they’re so minor that their impact is practically negligible

Maybe trickshotting died off cause people started cheating to get the clips and the skill required to get them vanished… Maybe 🤔

I don’t think we can place the death of trickshotting on one thing solely. I also think trends have tendencies to reemerge.

@KOSDFF Negative, it’s marketing. Trickshotting became popular because it was consistently promoted to a broad audience through engaging content. Now that the content is no longer being produced at scale, the primary marketing channels have effectively disappeared 🫡
