Nexstar says it's closed Tegna deal. "Nexstar has closed its acquisition of TEGNA Inc. following approval of the transaction from the Federal Communications Commission and the United States Department of Justice."

The use of The World Baseball Classic as an excuse for the Oscars ratings is much like saying that a movie didn’t open better than $20m because there was a competing movie that opened to $8m. The market is too big to take this on as a major factor. Who really thinks a third of the baseball viewers would have watched The Oscars if the game wasn’t on?
