It's a fairly pointless mechanic and for sure didn't add anything positive to MHWorld, but people talk about it like it shot their dog while focus mode is "QOL that improves the game" because they don't miss their TCS anymore.

It's really baffling how people act like CC in it's current state is anything worth bitching about. You tenderize the monster once at the beginning of the hunt and then every other clagger after. It's significantly less intrusive than focus mode or offsets

It’s a genuinely baffling how little people actually play monster Hunter Claw is not a mechanic you can ignore. you do that and your hunts will take 2x longer

There is really nowhere for the series to go in terms of gameplay and skill expression if its key feature is a tool that allows to control any move to be able to do 180° steering with no appreciable drawbacks. They put themselves in a corner in this game design dead-end

@EstherGoddo_ I love my fun gimmick that removes the need to aim your attacks and gives you hyper mobility around a monster with full uptime. That wasn't enough either they also had to put in offsets which are 3x as strong as parries in rise lmfao.

Mainline Monhun will just forever be mogged by the portable games in terms of actually interesting and fun gimmicks and focus mode is an example of why that is

@Lunay678 @Zenismmm What is the point of this question? The gameplay should 100% be the most important thing for any action game lol. What makes MH unique is the combat, from weapons like CB and IG to the mechanics like charging attacks. It's why there are people that are gigadedicated to one weapon

It’s the fights. It’s always going to be the fights. Any dedicated player is actually focused on replaying the fights they like with interesting design and mechanics over some bullshit like immersion or ecology. It’s the fine tuning of the hunt, it’s why it’s monster hunter

These folks should go spend 1 day in any edating discord. Imagine taking awkward hormone filled young adults and expecting them to just get along and have nothing happen at all. I'm sure the 4 guys on the team won't instantly become orbiters of whatever girl joins the team
