@AWSbrett Maybe not the most elegant, but a scan with an in memory cache is probably good enough. I'd be hesitant to shove the whole table into a single partition for this use-case.

@JakePartusch Yeah I'm using ULID, but it still needs to go into the SK to be sortable. Looking for simplest way to do this purely in Dynamo. If you have Comments + Upvotes the answer is Single Table Design. I don't think there's any good answer for single entity though (Posts only)

Simple scenario; not-so-simple with DynamoDB: Show news for last 24h/week/etc. If I use single "POST" PK with `date` SK I can query with BETWEEN, but results in hot key (1 partition). If I just have `postId` PK (no SK) and use GSI with above keys, is that better/same/worse? 🤔
