@MrDanwar @spursnsalsa I guess enjoy your moral victory. The Knicks can just point to the scoreboard. Better luck next season!

If I was a Spurs fan, I would do everything I could to try to scrub this from the internet. This is the worst moment for that entire franchise

@TXForever49 Yeah, I do. I watched every one of those other moments. It’s the combination of hubris and a historic collapse. It’s embarrassing enough that it should make any serious person stop being a fan of these Spurs or Wemby

@JaredPlaudis @romy7575 Nobody has been able to tell me what would’ve been a better response here. He got elbowed in the face, what was he supposed to do? Cry?

@JaredPlaudis Nah he was 1000 percent correct. He definitely was in their heads and all of New York as well.

@JaredPlaudis Police are not the only group who can Arrest someone and you have never seen the Jedi policing (patrolling) the galaxy They actually act as combat efficient ambassadors as they mostly settle disputes But if you have actual examples of them being “police”… please share

He was a villain of the story. He was about to summarily execute somebody rather than have them stand trial because he decided the person was “too dangerous.” A monastic religious order should not be used as a police force for a secular government and Mace illustrated that danger

@heavyspoilers Completely agree. Especially being rated below the mess that Welcome to Derry was. That show started fun and ended up being abysmal.

@JaredPlaudis You are also blatantly ignoring the fact that mace told Sidious to surrender twice and both times Sidious attacked him. You can’t talk about engaging media in meaningful way while ignoring ALL of the relevant context lol that’s just disingenuous or a lack of media literacy

@FilmaticFury They literally show up to arrest him. They talk about how they are charged with brining peace and justice to the galaxy. There is no way to describe them except as a police force.

This is why Last Jedi discourse gets me heated: Defenders of the movie almost universally think sneaking into a boy's room at night, drawing a deadly weapon, and traumatizing him into the arms of the Dark Side is a charming quirk that makes Luke more relatable and sympathetic.
isa@kyloeyeliner

the reason we don’t get more content about him, when we really should, is because rian johnson gave him sympathetic flaws and made him something other than a ‘Perfect Jedi’ and it proceeded to cause a decade long hissy fit from certain star wars fans

@JaredPlaudis Well they aren’t a police force at all and have jurisdiction to eliminate the Sith (with proof) as maintaining the balance of the force was one of their primary directives.

@FilmaticFury I really love Star Wars but I think it’s really weird how it makes people ok with extrajudicial executions by a religious police force.

@JaredPlaudis An all powerful evil wizard who sneak attacked mace while feigning surrender and manipulated Anakin into attacking his mace is proof that mace was right while upholding the Jedi ideals of the eradication of the sith. Mace is a hero Comically informed take lol

@tomhaberstroh Literally just saying that sometimes even great players never make it back. Its not saying that he won’t; only saying that it’s not automatically a given.
