Thank you @elinavaltonen for hosting the Nordic group of foreign ministers - and our Canadian colleague @AnitaAnandMP - in Nuuksio, Finland. We focused on shared foreign policy priorities – with continued support for Ukraine at the top of the agenda.

On 18–19 August, Minister for Foreign Affairs @MariaStenergard is travelling to Nuuksio in Finland to take part in a meeting of Nordic foreign ministers. Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Anita Anand will also participate in the meeting. Difficult challenges are best solved together. Yesterday, the Minister of Defence, Pål Jonson, and I met with Mélenie Joly - Canada’s Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry. We are delighted to announce that our countries are working towards a deep Strategic Partnership. Looking forward to increased collaboration going forward. Sweden and Canada, both arctic nations, shares values, knowledge and opportunities. We stand out globally as frontrunners in innovation, we are a great mining nations and friends of nuclear. Deepening our partnership brings wealth and security to our part of the world.
