@WalderSports And on the same day that the Montreal Canadiens, the only Canadian team left in the NHL playoffs, is also in a Game 7.

My idea has been that the team that gets in the playoffs with the worst record gets the No. 1 pick. The 2nd goes to the team with the best record that missed the playoffs. Alternate outward back-and-forth until the last two picks belong to the best and worst reg season records.

Charles Barkley shares his idea on how to fix tanking: "Teams have just been tanking for 3 months. Every team who does not make the playoffs should get 1 ball. You can't improve your chances losing. Every team gets 1 ball. That is the fair way to do it. Only with our stupid NBA crap. Come on man. Just give everybody 1 ball and that would stop tanking"

I know there's no corner of twitter that isn't toxic as hell anymore, but I think golf twitter is up there as one of the worst. Just a constant stream of people saying how shitty golfers are, and lobbing personal insults that are almost certainly tied to their bet slips.

For as ugly as the Jays' season has been (largely from an injury POV), the Varland-Rogers-Hoffman trio at the back end of the bullpen has been fantastic.

The President of the United States is openly threatening to commit genocide against 90 million people. Prime Minister Carney: if there was ever a moment to denounce this illegal war, withdraw your support, and call for accountability for war crimes—it’s now.

Even if Trump is "bluffing," the US may never come back from this. Whether you voted for him or not, the rest of the world sees this guy as our collective will. To everyone else, we are a landmass teeming with viciousness. We have a very high bar to prove that's not true.

Anyone who thinks a POTUS threatening to destroy a whole civilization is an ok (or even laudable) thing to do doesn't care if they're a "baddie" or not. And thats how we get blowback events like 9/11 and then wonder why. This is stupid, reckless leadership of ONE MAN.

The President of the United States has threatened genocide against the Iranian people. This is an open admission of the intent to commit crimes against humanity. How on earth can the world just sit by and let Trump get away with such depravity? Our own government’s complicity, appeasement and moral failure has brought us to this moment. The Prime Minister must, at a minimum, revoke the use of British air bases for US bombers — and demand an immediate end to the illegal attacks on Iran, now.

I’m so tired of people letting Trump get away with this shit. Whether it’s Joe Kent or Tucker Carlson, people whom he previously loved/befriended/employed/promoted, immediately become enemies and the worst people if they dare disagree with him. He has no concept of disagreement or debate or persuasion. It’s all or nothing. And no reporters ever say ‘but you hired these people? You were friends with these people till 10 seconds ago? You praised them when they praised you?’ Insane normalization of his abnormal, hypocritical, dishonest, deranged behavior.

The absurd aspects of my films r me highlighting contradictions by heartening them. Any analysis of any problem- or even of an economic system- heightens contradictions by singling out the most important one(s) and saying "focus on this. Its more important than the other stuff"
m@thewashrd

@BootsRiley a lot of your work is absurdist/surrealist in nature, but deals with serious issues. how do you maintain the balance between the absurd and the severity of the topics you cover— are there moments where you feel you have to dial back?

Tony Vitello to reporters for absolutely no reason: [whispering] hey, psssttttt, *leans in kinda ominously* y’know that clubhouse I’m in charge of? *looks over both shoulders* it’s got some big problems.

Matt Chapman took accountability for his base running gaffe and his otherwise forgettable week. Tony Vitello revealed the #SFGiants have had two other incidents behind closed doors like the one captured on camera between Chapman and Casey Schmitt. nypost.com/2026/04/06/spo…
