Past halfway on the orchestral version of my song cycle "Miss Carr in Seven Scenes". A challenge to transform the original piano into an orchestra. But with the voice of Krisztina Szabó in my head, who needs more inspiration? Thanks to @VSOrchestra and the Hugh Davidson Fund.

This. Orchestral scores in C. The conductor needs to know how it sounds, the player needs to know how it’s played. (Band scores on the other hand, that transposed tradition will never go away…)

@sarahdaceyuk My "Unheard" songs (poetry by Rachel Rose) are for unaccompanied soprano with notated movement. Rachel's poems give voice to female characters of myth and literature who go unheard in the original stories. Four, but can be performed separately. jeffreyryan.com/works/solo-voc…
