After 3 years of pouring my heart and soul into Horizonite, I’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to stop development effective immediately. The grind, the bugs, the endless scope creep... it’s all become too much. Instead, I’ve decided to pivot to something more meaningful with my life. I’m deleting the repo, burning the assets, and going full time as an OnlyFans foot model. Thank you to everyone who supported the game. Lennar, America's 2nd largest builder, has cut prices 24% from peak. Their price on new deliveries hit $491k in 2022. But they've cut by over $110k since then, through price reductions and mortgage buydowns. The result is a $374k net price in 2026, down -8% YoY and -24% from peak. This is the cheapest we've seen in a decade, even lower than the pre-pandemic norms. This is actually great news for homebuyers. Housing deflation is setting in, and Lennar is leading the charge for builders in returning affordability to buyers.

@prismgameapp That's a good question! It's one shader but the crack pattern differs based on their position in the world. It looks good to me or else I would have probably created a texture for the cracks per sprite, which would have been too much work 😂

@Jesse_GameDev getting shaders to play nice with sprite sheets is one of those things that sounds simple until you're deep in it. damage states that read instantly without UI are so satisfying. does the crack pattern vary per building type or is it one shared shader?

Look at those buildings crack! Made a bit of a breakthrough on shaders recently. I figured out how to get them to work with sprite sheets. so now as building are hurt, I update the shader to show these cracks! #indiedev #gamedev #shaders #pixelart

Gave all the goblins and goblin archers their own death sprites and added a shader that dissolve them away after x time! #indiedev #gamedev

Implemented drag and drop for crops so you don't have to place them one at a time! #indiedev #gamedev

Look at all these boats coming back to claim your city! Spiffed up the admin menu so I can spawn lots of enemies at once. This'll be great for stress testing spells/towers vs raiders! #indiedev #gamedev

For game developers: does it happen to you too that you can’t play your own games without the constant fear that something won’t work properly, there will be a bug, or something like that? 😱 If not, tell me your secret!

Any thoughts on how this can be improved? I added a skill check when casting spells! There is a very slight delay so that if you click down and up you won't even notice but if you can time it just right, your spells will be more powerful! #indiedev #gamedev
