Just completed a rescue on our way home from training. A hiker on the middle fork trail was seriously Ill and needed immediate evacuation. Here are some photos. We had to land on the sandbar to save gas while our medic and rescue techs got our patient ready to evacuate.

KCSD and @KCSAR were pleased to help @BvuePD and note that it was alert public and reverse 911 that ultimately found the subject.

@KCSARC has three dogs involved in the search. Lincoln is a flat coated retriever, an air scent dog. Lincoln will search an area and find all humans.

Coulee is a Golden Retriever, a tracking dog. Coulee will take a scent and follow it along a trail. We are extremely grateful to @KCSARC for helping search for Scott.

Guardian 2 and crew just pulled an injured hiker off Aasgard Pass.

Our two UH-1 “Huey” rescue helicopters. Both of these aircraft are former military, and were made in 1970. One served in the Army and the other in the USAF. Neither went overseas. They continue serving now, saving lives across the state.
