I can’t believe I have to say this, BUT teachers can love teaching and care deeply about their students, AND, at the same time, be happy that the school year is almost over.

Educators of the Twitter- not sure who posted the idea of telling Ss "ask me 2 questions" after assigning a project instead of "what questions do you have", but doing so has been LIFE CHANGING. I do it every time I assign anything- projects, tasks, etc. #ThankYou #FloydChat

If I were a school leader visiting a classroom, before I asked kids what they were learning, I’d ask them how well they knew the people in the room. If the people who spend months together don’t know each other, then we’ve missed an opportunity, missed the point. #connections

Day 5: My favorite book is Maybe He Just Likes You. It is a great read for middle schoolers and understanding appropriate actions towards one another. I cannot wait to start reading it with my class. All of the #VAReadersChoice Books are Fantastic #12DaysTwitter #FloydChat

Day 3: Mindful Practice for myself and students is doing a breathing and movement activity that includes a cross-body movement each day before class. Ex: Today we did 2 inhale/exhales, 10 jumping jacks, 10 windmills, and finished with 2 inhales/exhales #12DaysTwitter #FloydChat
