Me personally I swap out Jesus for "Creator of Matter, whoever you may be, and if you do in fact exist... thank you for Creation, thank you for this Beautiful World, and my ability to experience it every day, even when it sucks. And thank you for my Healthy Children. I offer my soul, should i have one, in service to you, and the Good."
This eventually just morphs into "thank you Jesus" it's a bit like self hypnosis. With the greatest impediment to full adoption being my own intellectual smugness.
