دیروز در لندن با پریتی پتل، وزیر خارجه دولت سایه بریتانیا، دیدار و درباره آینده سیاست غرب در قبال ایران گفتوگو کردم. تأکید کردم که مردم ایران باید در مرکز هرگونه سیاستگذاری درباره جمهوری اسلامی قرار گیرند. چهار دهه مماشات نه رفتار این رژیم را تغییر داده و نه امنیت منطقه و جهان را افزایش داده است. جمهوری اسلامی همچنان تهدیدی علیه مردم ایران و امنیت کشورهای دموکراتیک، از جمله بریتانیا، به شمار میرود. حمایت از ملت ایران و ایستادگی در برابر شبکههای سرکوب و تروریسم این رژیم، مؤثرترین راه برای دستیابی به ثبات، امنیت و صلح پایدار است.
