Take the weekend to rest how you see fit. Remember, as the Nap Ministry reminds us, rest is an act of resistance and revolution. Take the time to visit another church, take a morning hike, brunch with friends, or even sleep in. Recharge yourself. See you all again Sunday, Sept 8!

This Sunday, during Labor Day Weekend, we will observe one of our 4 Sabbath Sundays of the year, to give our Worship Team and our Breakfast Ministry team a week to rest. There is no Breakfast Ministry or Worship Service on Sept 1st.

Also, this coming Tuesday the 27th, Lauren will be given her talk on “How the Church Can Adapt to Climate change” to the UWF, and as always, all are welcome!

At 8:15 on Sunday, we will have our last Breakfast Ministry before we take a Sabbath Sunday for Labor Day Weekend.

This week, we are lucky to have Rev. Lisa Williams joining us again to lead worship at 10am while Dr. Mandy is preaching a homecoming sermon in Atlanta. Rev. Lisa will be preaching “Gearing Up…”. She always has an insightful message for us, so we can’t wait to hear it!

At 10am, we are having a United Women in Faith Sunday with our UWF President Sara Munshin giving us our message of hope and reflection. Come join us!

This Sunday, Breakfast Ministry has a new time: 8:15am to 8:45am! Spread the word!! Then at 10am, Rev. Dr. Mandy Sloan McDow will be preaching “What have we sacrificed on the altar of our own desires?”

She will be preaching “Journeying in Love” at 10am, and before that we will have our regular Breakfast Ministry from 8:30am to 9:30am. Come join us for a day of peace, joy, and fellowship.
