I am genuinely sad to read this today. It was a pleasure to work with Frank to improve funeral pricing transparency throughout the UK. What impressed me most, was his genuine drive to do right and give a voice to the voiceless. What a huge loss for us all.

I’ve had to stop watching the #covidenquiryuk The complete ineptitude from the PM treating the elderly as disposable and acting like a petulant child today is just making me unfathomably angry.

“They’ve had a good innings.” @BorisJohnson’s casual contempt for Covid’s most vulnerable victims - care home residents, the elderly, disabled & immunosuppressed - is the most disgusting aspect of his pandemic response. As a frontline palliative care doctor, it repulses me.

It was 10 years ago today that I got the keys to my office and what an unbelievable decade it has been. I’ll forever be grateful to my clients who knew they would be safe in my hands and to my amazing family and friends for being my cheerleaders. Here’s to another 10!

Today we expect to hear the government outline their plans for “learning to live with covid”, which include removing the legal obligation to isolate, removing free community testing and (potentially) scrapping the ONS infection survey. Here’s why I think this is a bad idea: 1/20

Reported Covid deaths are always artificially higher on a Tuesday. But still - another 439 deaths reported today. How - *how* - has dying on this scale from a single disease been so utterly normalised & ignored?

Two weeks ago we had 59k new cases of Covid. Today we have 183k. And the prime minister is doing absolutely NOTHING about it.

“.. up to 50 people who were in attendance at the alleged party” It took me HOURS to decide which 29 other people could attend my husband’s funeral last year. A masked, socially distanced, fully legally compliant funeral. Vile arrogant scum.
