Taking one second to address this - I mean, the markets are chaos (again) and morale is all over the place (mostly down). What can you do as an artist? If it takes a year to build something you think is really great, wait 6 more months for things to turn around? If they do? Do you expect people to only want to play with you when times are great? I don't know. My whole way of doing things has always been to assume that you want to make something people enjoy having for its own sake, and that it didn't cost much more than a stop at a convenience store for some snacks. That doesn't make anything market-proof because when people feel ruined they aren't in the mood for fun no matter what you make - and definitely not for prestige purchases or something. I make things that I hope scale well to a large group experiencing something fun, thoughtful, maybe pretty. It may or may not be a good time to release but it never really feels right when you set your expectations on the moon. So, still going next week - I'm not oblivious to the chaos and the fear and greed dial and everything. I hope people enjoy what we put together and share their experience with it and what they create.
