@TCWK121713 Waiving pink pompoms at a murder trial is a real low.
It was heartbreaking on every level to endure not only the defamation and harassment directed at us by people in our own community, but also to stand by and watch the O’Keefes, and so many others who loved John, be forced to walk through the absolute circus that people turned his murder trial into. What should have been a solemn pursuit of justice became a spectacle. A family grieving an unimaginable loss was made to endure public cruelty, harassment, conspiracy theories, and constant disrespect while simply trying to seek accountability for the man they loved. No one should ever have to experience that. No witnesses should ever have to endure what many of us have endured for simply telling the truth. Watching the pain inflicted not just on us, but on John’s loved ones throughout this process has been disheartening and devastating beyond words. defendingthetruth.org
