The Classic Man
The Classic Man@tkb417·
Let me break this down slowly. Dude claimed his election was stolen, then ran to court to ask for disqualification not to prove rigging. Then doubled down and built his entire base on that contradiction. Now let’s talk Abacha. The man he’s implying was better: Hired killers. Murdered people. Jailed opponents. Created five parties just to adopt himself as sole candidate. Banned people from even contesting. He worked with that man. So I understand why Abacha looks “fine” to him. But here’s what’s rich, the NADECO people he’s now attacking? They hold no grudges. Because if they did, characters like him wouldn’t even have a platform today. The Youth Earnestly Ask for Abacha , that crowd that paraded to cancel June 12 was never called a tribe of bigots. Every single person who rose against that annulment came from one region, and NOBODY framed it as ethnic. This man? He’s a charlatan. Last election: “Christians must take their country back.” Then he went on national television to read a WhatsApp message he claimed Yorubas wrote. Today he’s telling us NADECO is worse than Abacha and insisting he’s not desperate. His tactic: Divide to rule.. Will it work? Not in a billion years I’ll close with this with my usual pattern, God punish you.

“Nigeria should be suspended from the Commonwealth of Nations 𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙡 𝙞𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙙𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙘𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝙧𝙪𝙡𝙚.” — John Majors, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙆𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙆𝙚𝙣 𝙎𝙖𝙧𝙤-𝙒𝙞𝙬𝙖: Watch how Nelson Mandela, John Major, Robert Mugabe, and the world reacted after November 10, 1995. Only a rotten and desperate individual would dare compare that dark chapter of Sani Abacha’s unfortunate rule to any other period in Nigeria’s history.
Peter Obi@PeterObi

Yesterday defenders of democracy, today's destroyers, What a shame. What an irony of history, that the acclaimed defenders of democracy and human rights who claimed to have fought for democracy during the era of General Sani Abacha now find themselves worse than the man they opposed. Today, General Sani Abacha, once presumed face of oppression, will be remembered as seemingly more democratic and more respectful of human rights than the so-called champions of activism from the NADECO days. Power indeed reveals character. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

@jrnaib2 Lol! Ralph Nwosu's tenure as Chairman expired since 2022, Sir. That case is still pending at the Supreme Court. And I have news for you, Sir: Ralph Nwosu is NOT with you. He is with Tinubu- that's why he sold you a dummy in the first place. 😂 x.com/i/status/20400…

A friend just gave me another angle to this ADC Political Tsunami: "Harry, What if Ralph Nwosu has been working for Bola Tinubu all along?" To be honest, I never thought of that! The irony is, it's NOT impossible, going by the revelations coming out in the past 2 days...

@jrnaib2 You mean the chairman of over 17 years did not resign? Is this not threading into illegality that will harm ADC's electoral fortunes?

The best way for the ADC to escape this trap by Tinubu and INEC is for Sen. David Mark and Aregbesola to step aside and allow the old ADC leadership, led by former National Chairman Ralph Nwosu, to take over and lead the convention, as they are 100% with us. We should not expect justice from the Judiciary or INEC; we must find a way to survive them. We are running out of time. This is my opinion, correct me if I'm wrong.

Festus Keyamo, SAN, CON, FCIArb (UK)
The David Mark’s faction of the ADC really think they can use emotional reasoning and blackmail to bluff their way out of a purely legal conundrum they brought upon themselves. Unfortunately for them, law does not admit of sentiment. Decisions are based on facts, evidence, and the interpretation of laws, rather than on sympathy, emotion or political considerations. All those who are arguing about ‘status quo ante bellum’ are dispensing their time and energy chasing shadows and not the substance. This is because whether INEC recognises either faction for now is irrelevant: what is relevant is that there is a challenge regarding the take-over of the Party pending in court by a duly elected Deputy National Chairman. As long as that case remains in court, all the actions of either faction MAY end up being nugatory AFTER the deadline for nominations of candidates by INEC. The implication is that the ADC may end up having NO CANDIDATE for the election. Therefore, instead of vilifying INEC, the ADC should rather thank INEC for this timely action of de-recognising both factions BEFORE the close of the window for nominating candidates. It has duly forewarned the Party of the danger ahead and opened a window for them to either find a new, risk-free platform or ask for accelerated hearing of the case in court, or politically settle the leadership question in the Party quickly. To keep blaming imaginary opponents or INEC is purely mischievous: neither APC nor INEC prodded these grown adults and supposedly ‘experienced’ politicians to go and hijack an existing platform without sound legal advice and without properly sorting out every member of the leadership of that existing platform. They say they will proceed with their congresses and Convention despite INEC’s decision and the ruling of the Court of Appeal. That is fine by us. NEVER INTERRUPT YOUR OPPONENT WHEN HE IS MAKING A MISTAKE.

I have something special for those Nigerian politicians who believe the presidency is their birthright. Oya, step forward and collect your prescription. One strong shot of Agbo Werey mixed with AGBÒ ALÁINI LÁÀKAYÉ, morning and night. This is not just medicine. It is a reality check. It humbles pride, clears delusion, and reminds every power drunk soul that leadership is service, not inheritance. Take it consistently until entitlement disappears and accountability returns. My Late mum's first cousin, the Late Kudirat Abiola, MKO's wife, was shot in the head on the orders of Abacha on June 4, 1996. I can never ever forget that day. It was like as if i was watching a horror movie...😢😩 @Legendaryjoe please help us remind Peter Obi, in case he's suffering from amnesia, of this and other such heinous crimes against humanity committed by the Abacha he's today praising. Peter Obi, may the souls of all those who died for the democracy you're enjoying today not allow you to be President of this country!

I remember when I jokingly tweeted that I would be charging 50k for every consultation and many people laughed it off. It was in 2021. Later, in 2022, I increased it to 100k because I visited one hospital in Lekki and I was required to pay for consultation and registration before I could even have an audience with a doctor. Later on, it changed to 200k and then 250k. Many people laughed it off openly but in the DM and offline, except for those I considered for pro bono, or a discount, anything less than 250k, it’s no show. Last year alone, from X, and I am sure I posted about it, I made a little over 5m just from consultation. Not to talk of people who reached out based on referrals or checking through my firm’s website. Then when I completed my masters degree in Unilag, I did promise that I would increase it to 500k in April this year, which I have done accordingly. Again, except for deserving pro bono or discounted fees, anything less than that, it’s no show. Why am I posting this? It’s for every young professional to learn to place value on their opinions when sought in that capacity. It doesn’t matter the number of people who laugh it off or make mockery of it. Some might think or tell you it’s too outrageous, but there are people who wouldn’t mind paying whatever amount, provided they will get value for their money. For people to get value for their money, make sure that you are not only knowledgeable, you are also engaged in continuous learning, capacity building and research. Then you can place a value on your opinions, add tax to it and watch how the world will adjust. He who dines with fishermen and palm-wine tappers cannot complain of lack of patronage by gold miners.

PATRIOTIC SOJA ($TSIR-MUNCHAN)
Gunmen attacked the convoy of Zamfara Governor's Chief of Staff, Alhaji Mouktar Lugga, along the Funtua–Gusau highway on Thursday at about 6:16 p.m. Assailants emerged from both sides of the road and opened fire near Kucheri village. A bullet pierced the windshield, narrowly missing the driver. Another attacker's weapon failed to discharge at close range. The driver escaped the ambush; all occupants unhurt.

Vivian Ifeoma wrote on X. " Gowon, if you had signed the Aburi Peace Accord that you and Ojukwu agreed on for regional autonomy, so that every region could govern themselves, all these senseless killings wouldn’t be happening today. But instead of peace, you chose the path of war in 1967, and 3 million Igbo people lost their lives, then everyone was forced into this one Nigeria. God has kept you alive so you can witness what’s happening today, the people you call brothers are the ones massacring your own people in Plateau State. The East remembers!" Dear Ifeoma, Unfortunately, like for most Ibo people, you got the wrong history and that is the problem. 1. Gowon didn't bring War to the Ibos. The Ibos, Emeka Ojukwu actually, called for WAR and that is what he got. It wass definitely IMPOSSIBLE to accept what Ojukwu because it was against the very laws of Nigeria which incidentally were screwed into the constitution by Nnmadi Azikiwe and Aguiyi-Ironsi. What he called for was TREASON according to the laws. And for you to be sure, Ojukwu in 1966 during the reign of Aguiyi-Ironsi actually crushed Isaac Adaka Boro and hundreds of his Ijaw kinsmen who suggested practically the same thing Ojukwu asked for in Aburi 2. And what is Aburi Accord? Is it not the same structure we had before 15th January 1966 that your Ibo leaders tore down through their mutinous soldiers and got permanently cemented by Aguiyi-Ironsi through his Decree 34? Was Ojukwu not there all the time Decree 34 was in operation? Did he ever complain? Do you have any record of Ojukwu complaining about Decree 34 or have a suggestion of "Aburi Accord" in 1966? I guess not! 3. The only error Gowon committed was his "No Victor No Vanquished" policy after the war and by allowing the Ibos to reintegrate easily into Nigeria through the ill-advised policy of 3Rs - Reconciliation, Reconstruction and Rehabilitation. If he hadn't done that Nigeria wouldn't have had the Ibo Zionism issues we have today. 4. Nigeria has been too good to you guys and you, and the Fulanis, are the greatest beneficiaries of all the ROT of Nigeria. Unfortunately, Yakubu Gowon's people and the other Indigenous people of Nigeria are worst victims of what the British set up in Nigeria with the Fulanis and Ibos. The is the TRUTH you need to know. So please stop talking and keep quiet. © Adedamola Adetayo

BIG VIRG
BIG VIRG@drealbigvirg·
There was a robbery incident that happened to my neighbour some time ago. The robbers hit their door, threatening to break it down if they didn’t open up, so the dad had no choice but to open it. Four rugged, armed men walked in and immediately ordered everyone out of the room to lie face down on the floor if they didn’t want to die. They all obeyed, including the little kids. But after a while, the children started arguing over space, saying “that’s my spot, I got there before you.” One of the robbers, who seemed like the boss, stayed back to guard them while the others searched the house. He got angry and shouted at the kids to lie down and close their eyes. A few minutes later, one of the little girls whispered to her brother to close his eyes or she would report him. Next thing, she stood up, walked up to the armed robber, tugged his trousers, and said, “Uncle armed robber, Junior is not closing his eyes.” Immediately, the other robbers both inside and outside burst into laughter. The one guarding them just stood there, shook his head, and then walked out. In a teary voice, he told the others to leave everything and go. They left the house without taking anything.
