Day 5. Still fighting this Covid demon whilst living with a comorbidity. I'm OK, loads of medication and keeping positive. Thank you to those who keep checking up on me. Dr reckons I've seen the worst of it now and it's just about recovery and rest now. ♥️🙏🏾

@LesDaChef They forgot to tell my mother about this. After the Covid cleared, motho jiki jiki collapsed in her bathroom from the sky high glucose levels. We are so blessed she survived it all. Speedy recovery🙏

@LesDaChef Prednisone is something I take often since Im asthmatic, it really does a good job in opening up the airway for one to breath properly. I always have it in my bag

Gov really let us "non-old" people with comorbidities down when they changed the strategy on vaccines without even trying to find a workable solution.
And that's that on that.

One thing that's scary for me though, is just how expensive it is to fight this thing with the right meds. I'm fighting it from a privileged vantage point. I can't imagine someone with a comorbidity like mine in a low income home having access to these things. 💔

I'm sticking with the meds given and recommended to me by my Dr and pharmacist. So far I'm doing well. ♥️🙏🏾

Test results just came in. Positive.
I double-mask. I don't go anywhere. I keep faraway from other humans. Had cancelled all public and private appearances. Put most of my business on hold. But here it is.
Please don't take this virus lightly. 🙏🏾
Now to fight this thing.

Went to the Dr thinking I have a throat infection. Its the only symptom I have.
Now waiting for my COVID results coming tomorrow. Doc says it's good I went to him early, most men wait too long before seeking medical help. 😣
And I'm someone who never goes out. 😑

Hehe. Why are we this way as guys? Have you seen the kind of medical examinations ladies go through on a regular?
Hell, even some of the type of waxing techniques they go for would put us guys to shame.
You only have to check prostate every 2 or so years after age 40.

The prostate exam doesn't inspire confidence. I want to go but I'm not comfortable with the exam ☹ cant they just scan me with a machine or something

I'm sorry about your ugly experience mfowethu.
In 18 years of reporting I've never seen such a hostile crowd. Clearly journalists were the targets. More worrying was the lawlessness & zero policing...as though Nkandla is a federal state with its own rules and President.
