@ClandestineMerk @kezottle @seelittlekoi @MeatyLlamaStick @ajarakamokkuren I’m not going to go through each of your gens. I just picked the one you recently posted the most. You cannot make better end results without AI being taught off of more stolen art. That’s how this works. It also isn’t work, stop calling it that
English

I mean, I probably won't, because I'm not really angling for an anatomy textbook feature. I'm just dicking around putting characters and concepts I like together and seeing what looks cool or hot.
I certainly could though if I want something more realistic and accurate, versus the more abstract archetype-focused approach I've played with so far. Sure, that'd increase the perceived quality of my work, especially with one as discerning as yourself. These are all things I'm slowly incorporating, to make better end results.
BTW, earlier you said "most" of the anatomy was wrong, but you only tried dissecting one example? As useful as that was, "most" would imply a ton of examples. I post a lot of images.
Please go cherry-pick the next worst one, if you don't mind.
English

@ClandestineMerk @kezottle @seelittlekoi @MeatyLlamaStick @ajarakamokkuren “All I want are end results without doing any of the work, I’d rather use a program that steals from others without their consent.”
Definition of entitlement buddy.
English

At what point does "mashing a keyboard" actually materially diverge from "strumming the strings" or "scribbling the strokes"..?
When do all the individual components become the actual "art?"
You tout the process, as if the end result barely even matters.
I- and many others simply assert that for some art, the end result is the most visible, and therefore most important part.
For an alleged artist, you're surprisingly averse to the simple concept of subjective value.
English

@ClandestineMerk @kezottle @seelittlekoi @MeatyLlamaStick @ajarakamokkuren And then tell me how you know it’s correct or not without studying anatomy
English

@ClandestineMerk @kezottle @seelittlekoi @MeatyLlamaStick @ajarakamokkuren You tell me in all your wisdom how you’re going to make AI make sure that the deltoid connects to the chest and that the elbows aren’t in the wrong place and that the spine isn’t in the gut. You could do that with your own hands and brain if you learned, but I wanna hear it
English

@ClandestineMerk @kezottle @seelittlekoi @MeatyLlamaStick @ajarakamokkuren @Gryphonknightt Directors direct actual talent and work, they don’t type into a computer to write that script for them, they do that themselves with feedback from other professionals. Understand?
English

I just learned that directors, writers, conductors- all potentially not real artists... Rough news to take in.
Who will give them "@LikelyToRot07's" memo, I wonder?
English

@ClandestineMerk @kezottle @seelittlekoi @MeatyLlamaStick @ajarakamokkuren He’d also likely be a stickler to any idea of composure that isn’t from instruments. However, soundboards still take a deep understanding of what sounds work together and what don’t. It’s still a study that takes a lot of skill and practise and I’m sure he’d recognise that
English

It is the longest standing trait- which is exactly why humans, no matter what age they live in, will always flock to express themselves in whatever novels means are available.
Do you think Mozart would be fascinated, or horrified to see a modern producer with his knobs and panels and his DAWs, and potentially not even a single real instrument of music sheet in sight? Times change, tools change, accessibility trends up over time as technology advances.
People said the same thing you're saying, about drum machines in the 80's and 90's. Portrait artists and painters said the same thing about cameras in the 1850's. New options get added to processes over time. "Progress" wins. We all simply have to adjust.
Besides, even if you were right- and AI did completely bust, that wouldn't undo or devalue any of the stuff people have already made with it. People are still being moved by, entertained by, and captivated by AI art TODAY. They already value it right now. That matters more than what any uncertain future may hold.
English

@ClandestineMerk @kezottle @seelittlekoi @MeatyLlamaStick @ajarakamokkuren @Gryphonknightt You just keep typing until you get what you want without an actual clue on what is wrong. You spit ball until you get something you see as acceptable despite it still being completely wrong showing your eye is completely dead to art. If you drew as much as you generated, u’d know
English

@LikelyToRot07 @kezottle @seelittlekoi @MeatyLlamaStick @ajarakamokkuren @Gryphonknightt Yeah man you clearly have zero understanding about how AI gen and prompting actually work.
English

@ClandestineMerk @kezottle @seelittlekoi @MeatyLlamaStick @ajarakamokkuren @Gryphonknightt You aren’t training your hands to understand art, you aren’t training your eyes to understand art, you’re leaving all of that to a machine. That isn’t art, that is a commission for a product. Again, entitlement to others years of work because you can’t be bothered to learn
English

That you think none of these steps or components are involved in a creative process utilizing AI, is testament to- frankly, how ignorant you are about the actual services and systems themselves, and how people use them.
You guys really think we just type in stuff like "cute anime girl" and "sad rap song" huh? lmao
Further, many still post-process whatever they generate into something else. It Editing itself not considered an art..? Is remixing still art? Parodying?
It's all just so pretentious and self-aggrandized.
English

@ClandestineMerk @kezottle @seelittlekoi @MeatyLlamaStick @ajarakamokkuren They do, but for how long? Artistry is the longest standing human trait, AI companies are having trouble keeping people around for more than a month. It’s going to die as quickly as it took off
English

@ClandestineMerk @kezottle @seelittlekoi @MeatyLlamaStick @ajarakamokkuren @Gryphonknightt Which means you gain nothing, you learn nothing, you take what a computer spits out as a self accomplishment with none of the grit. Doing art is as much about the journey and the mistakes and self reflection as much as it is about a finished image. 0 passion, 0 results
English

@ClandestineMerk @kezottle @seelittlekoi @MeatyLlamaStick @ajarakamokkuren @Gryphonknightt If it took me to tell you how far the anatomy was off, you aren’t learning, you’re consuming a product. You act as if you’re entitled to creativity as if it’s a human right. It takes a lot of work to express yourself and that is what you’re denying yourself, the journey of it
English

@ClandestineMerk @kezottle @seelittlekoi @MeatyLlamaStick @ajarakamokkuren ? Artists are charging more now lol and companies are unable to copyright AI images, meaning it literally will never be protected and can’t be heavily profited from. AI is getting more and more restricted in work environments
English

@LikelyToRot07 @kezottle @seelittlekoi @MeatyLlamaStick @ajarakamokkuren Precisely the attitude why more and more people everyday are sunsetting the idea of ever hiring or supporting one of you. Sad but again, I don't blame 'em.
English

@ClandestineMerk @kezottle @seelittlekoi @MeatyLlamaStick @ajarakamokkuren @Gryphonknightt You’re not learning anything, you’re commissioning a machine to be creative for you.
You’re only fooling yourself and limiting your own potential to actually be creative. If AI services shut, you’ve got nothing of your own merit. If you enjoy art, I don’t get why you don’t try
English

@LikelyToRot07 @kezottle @seelittlekoi @MeatyLlamaStick @ajarakamokkuren @Gryphonknightt You're absolutely free to think that. And it could even be true!
And yet, the generating will continue. I will continue learning and making things in my own way, using whatever tools and methods I want. Some will support it, some won't.
Guess we'll just both have to cope.
English

@ClandestineMerk @kezottle @seelittlekoi @MeatyLlamaStick @ajarakamokkuren @Gryphonknightt Yeah you think it looks cool because you don’t have an eye for what is good because you never bothered to learn. Lol
English

@LikelyToRot07 @kezottle @seelittlekoi @MeatyLlamaStick @ajarakamokkuren Nice. See, that's more specific. Not just spouting "it's ass"- which is the lazy critique of a retard. This is actually useful feedback though. Thanks man.
Here's the full image, for anyone curious.
Based on the badass model of the v-tuber @Gryphonknightt.
I think it looks cool.

English

@ClandestineMerk @kezottle @seelittlekoi @MeatyLlamaStick @ajarakamokkuren And yeah man, I think after hundreds of hours of drawing I have the right to be entitled over a worm that uses art stolen from hands that have worked for years to make absolute slop. Kids crayon drawings have more soul in them
English

Also, "executive dysfunction disorder"
Uhhm ok?... Why would anyone just looking at art care about that...? And what does that have to do with the resultant quality or appearance of your art? Most people just want to look at and hear nice things, that make them think or feel something.
"How many miles you had to walk uphill, both ways" in order to make the art... the average viewer will never know or care about- nor give you the extra back-pats you want for it.
This level of victimhood and entitlement is actually why you guys have such a negative reputation for some people as of late. Many would rather just experiment on their own and not even bother reaching out. I don't blame them. I don't blame you guys for lashing out either though. For some, the commissions are really drying up I imagine.
English

@ClandestineMerk @kezottle @seelittlekoi @MeatyLlamaStick @ajarakamokkuren Art is a very strong word for what you do buddy.
English

@ClandestineMerk @kezottle @seelittlekoi @MeatyLlamaStick @ajarakamokkuren Where the shoulder joint is leaves no room for the chest to connect to the deltoid either. Look at it for more than 2 seconds and anyone with a lick of anatomy will see it’s completely off
English

@ClandestineMerk @kezottle @seelittlekoi @MeatyLlamaStick @ajarakamokkuren Sure, the spine doesn’t sit anywhere near the abdomen, ribs don’t have random disconnects on each side, the left side would lopside his lateral muscles and abdomen muscles. No rotator cuff connections, elbows aren’t even on the joint.

English
