When President Muhammadu Buhari, a Northerner, was in power, in his first four years, we, his supporters, and well-wishers, provided excuses upon excuses. We urged people to give him the opportunity to prove himself worthy of leading us and restoring the country to its former glory, which we fondly referred to as the “Giant of Africa.” After eight complete years, there were only a few achievements to be attributed to him. However, security deteriorated under his watch, and the North was never truly secured again, even with someone from Katsina (Daura) as president. May his soul rest in Jannatul Firdausi.
