Excited to announce that Chronicle 10 is here: Total redesign for Mac, optimized for Big Sur. Everything has been re-thought to make it faster and easier to use: Get it here: apps.apple.com/us/app/chronic…

If you're a Chronicle beta tester, you can now beta test our updated interactive widget on the iOS 17 beta. The latest beta also shows more bills per widget on both iOS 16 and 17. If you're not a beta tester, and want to be, let me know!

@MBirkey Try as I might, I unfortunately could not find a way to open arbitrary URLs from the widget. Seems widgets can only open their own containing app. Of course, we could open the app which then auto-opens the URL, which I might look at as an option in the future.

@LittleFinLLC Something I would find useful is opening the app to a specific tag view. Another idea is if the bill item has a payment url, opening that url.

Working on adding interactive widgets to Chronicle for iOS 17. Debating exactly what to add...buttons to trigger reminders for bills? To mark bills as paid? Afraid marking as paid might be too easy to accidentally trigger. Any thoughts?

@MBirkey Yeah, I like idea of opening the website URL as well, that seems like the most actionable thing you'd do, actually. One thought is, maybe the button could open the bill URL, then after opening the URL, the button changes to a checkmark to mark it as paid.

@luisalejandrocc Hmmm....this looks like it some kind of bug that has something to do with the calendar being set to Monday. Probably something bizarre with daylight savings time being here. I can't reproduce with start day set to Sunday. Let me look into this.

Chronicle 14 for macOS and iOS is out! Most prominent new feature is tracking free trials! If you like Chronicle, please, please take a quick moment to review or just rate the Mac version especially. It helps so much: apps.apple.com/us/app/chronic…

@gustavosaez @dokwadratu @getbobbyapp Certainly not abandoned! Chronicle's been around for over a decade, not going anywhere. :) Next major update is a month or so out—it's a significant update, and requires big updates to both macOS and iOS versions, so been in beta testing for a while.

(1/2) Does anyone know a good personal finance app for macOS and maybe iOS? I don't care about bank integrations, nothing works with the Polish ones anyway. Ideally, I would love to have: multiple currencies support, invoices scanning with OCR,

@gustavosaez We don't have a public roadmap, no. Chronicle is a very mature app (10+ years), which means we're very thoughtful about new features, but also open to customer feedback. Right now, the next major update in beta testing is improved support for subscriptions / trials.

(2/2) support for listing recurring expenses (e.g. subscriptions, just like @getbobbyapp). I currently use Chronicle by @LittleFinLLC, but it lacks some features. Price doesn't matter, can be subscription-based.

@dokwadratu @getbobbyapp We're working on improving support for subscriptions (including adding support for trials, etc). What is Chronicle missing for you that would make it better?

@WarWraith We never raise prices on existing subscribers. New subscribers who subscribe now lock in the current price. Since you subscribed earlier, you're still locked in to an even lower price. As long as you stay subscribed, your price won't change :)

@LittleFinLLC how can I import/export my bills and data from macOS Chronicle Pro 9.8.0 to macOS Chronicle 10.0.1 without a cloud subscription offline?

@Shawzborne When you launch Chronicle 10, the last welcome screen has an "Import from Prior Version" button, which will do it. If you missed it, you can re-view welcome screen by checking option to do so in preferences.
